We're somehow already halfway through May! This means that we're closer to summer, but it also means the deadlines for this month's contests are approaching quick!

Today is also Minecraft's 10th Anniversary! Happy Anniversary, Minecraft! As Cib said it perfectly in his forum discussion Celebrate Minecraft's 10th Anniversary, that's "10 years of crafting, building, slashing, clicking and tapping." Cib also shares a couple of ideas if you want to join in on the celebration, but are not sure how:

- Download the free anniversary map for Java or Bedrock for free by BlockWorks
- Ride a wave of nostalgia all the way back to the days of Minecraft Classic
- Celebrate with Minecraft.net by viewing their anniversary page, timeline and special announcements!

In addition to this forum thread, Cib just released their Minecraft 10th Anniversary Project! The build includes a short but sweet timeline of Minecraft over the past decade.

PMC Member MrNovoa_ was featured on Minecraft.net in an article, Air Traffic. The article covers MrNovoa_'s Steampunk Airplane build as well as their Magical Forest Wolf and Dream of Paradise build and gives insight on the challenges faced when an organics builder attempts to build non-organics.

Cib's resource pack, Perfect Paintings, hit 1200 downloads this week! Congratulations on your milestone!

Howdy, PMCer's! How's everyone's weekend going so far? DinowCookie did an amazing job summarizing all things spring on PMC, so we're sharing her post if you didn't get the opportunity to read it! Cyprezz Launched an overhaul to our account and submission management systems! We hope you'll find everything easier and more pleasant to work with when it comes to managing your account, activities, and submissions.

New member account menu provides access to everything related to our account & site activities.
Submission
management was revamped to clarify & streamline the process for
every submission type and their various unique elements.
Better mobile support for submission management.
Back-end
code of submissions management, listing and display was refactored for
developer sanity and for future submission add-ons and introduction of
new content types.

Look, I created a spring themed pixel art divider! ^ 😄 Remember the Community Pixel Project? PMC is still accepting new dividers. Spring might just be a perfect occasion to pick up the pixel pencil again; blossom 🌸 flowers 🌹 bunnies 🐰 eggs 🥚 Members could use them to Spring Fling their profile!

At the end of the Spring Fling event, my fellow hosts PMC, Cyprezz and I will pick a couple of spring-themed profiles to highlight in the event conclusion. ^_^ Please tag us, or leave a comment on the Spring Fling event discussion forum thread to show us your decorated profile! Need some inspiration? The profiles of etqtay, mcrjellyfish & StLee make great examples.

I decorated mine too! And made these photos of spring available for you to freely use when decorating your own profile.

About the Spring Fling event, I've seen a lot of people refer to it as a contest but please remember that it's a non-competitive event, which means that your entries will not be judged and no top-3 of winners will be chosen. You can enter any combination of skins, blogs and projects. Up to five entries per participant are allowed and you can team up as well! 😁

There already are a total of 165 entries submitted into the event so far, and we still have 18 days to go! Do you have something planned? I'll be looking forward to what more is to come. These are some of my personal favorites so far:

Hi! We had movie night last week; you can still watch the movie, though by clicking here. There are some short clips on this channel along with the movie, so if the movie isn't playing you can either view the short animations OR you can click the "Playlist" tab and select "The Haunting of Herobrine". Hope this helps!

On March 3rd 22:20 UTC DragonsDungeon completely conquered the trending skin page AND Pop Reel! The drending page was filled with Sonic skins - something Dragon's had been wanting to accomplish for quite some time now. Check out theAwesome Sonic Series to see the result of a collaborative effort!

Selectable & Sizeable Icons & Mentions. You can now highlight icons & mentions with text. More importantly, font-size now properly sizes our icons Ω to @ mentions to match your choosen font size.
Responsive & Compact Tables. Tables are still resize-able but now they are responsive to the device they are displayed on. They are also stored in a far more compact format allowing more space for more visible content.
Responsive Font-Sizes. All of our posts (submissions, threads, wall posts, etc) will now output font-sizes in a format that is more mobile / device friendly.
Right Click Menu Images & Tables. Quicker method to edit existing images & tables.
Better Safari Support. We now support back to Safari 10.
Increased internal limits on # codes & images allowed.

Few other mention-able updates

Recently Viewed Forum Threads. Added a pane in the side column of the forums that displays the last 5 threads you viewd for easy access.
Greenlight System. Once your submission is greenlit, it won't go back into the queue if you update it as a level 1.
Responsive Video Sizes restored. Youtube videos will now scale to fill the space they have available, desktop, mobile, widgets, etc.
Lazy Loading Images. We've brought back lazy loading images across the website and even in member-generated content. This should speed up mobile browsing and desktop alike while also saving your and our bandwidth.
Tickets. "something else" option fixed.
PMCSkin3D. Opening Files fixed & UI Icon sizes adjusted.
3rd Party Website Dialog. Websites on submissions that are shown as "primary blue" buttons will now display a dialog letting you know your about to leave our site. We added it to downloads about a week ago but now it's on websites as well.
Server Voting. Removed a spam check that was false flagging.
Mobile Ads. Set fixed mobile Ad dimensions to prevent content shifting as they load.

OTHER HIGHLIGHTS
Things are still lively over on this thread. Spygron is passionate about Planet Earth and is looking for other members to help with their cause! In their first forum post, they opened the discussion up about the problems Earth is facing - problems such as pollution, global warming, endangered animals, etc. This time they’re asking for action. Let’s see it happen!

creeper2357 was featured in an article on Minecraft.net for their replication of San Francisco's famous street, Lombard Street! If you’re not familiar with this street, the reason why it’s famous is because of it 8 very sharp turns spanning 1 block. Creeper2357 did a fantastic job replicating it!

Several of our members were featured in this article on Minecraft.net which covers common building tools that some Minecrafters use. A very useful article! Congratulations _Killerack__ , DarthEnigma, Gabersid, Roman_95, Shaliquinn, Z00, and creeper2357 for your features! Great work!

The stories of No Game No life have now got full stories to be made into another TV sequel. The novel is long enough that a 24-episode season can be chosen out of it and still leave content for the third season as well. All the news that stated No Game No Life season 2 release date established has been broken.

Though any news on No Game No Life second season was not revealed we saw its movie recently. The anime is expected to return after the movie release. Though there is no clear communication on the release date, it is assumed to be released somewhere around the Fall in 2019.

If you are wanting to just get her to play Minecraft you can buy the game from https://minecraft.net/. From there you can download the game for Windows, Mac or Linux.

There is a button called multiplayer on the main menu in minecraft when you launch the game, click on multiplayer, then click on direct connect, a box should show up that you can type in saying "server address". This is where you put the address, copy and paste the server address or type it in manually and click "join server".

The address to the server is: phrozencookie.net

Happy Saturday, PMCer's! We hope you're enjoying your week so far. Who else wishes the pink buttons were still around? Did anyone click the floating hearts in the header? They exploded into tiny little hearts! It was raining love <3 It was a relatively quiet week this week, but we were behind the scenes working on the text editor update which is now live!

General Editor Highlights

Unified Font : Editor text uses the same font as the website!
Spoilers are easier to work with & harder to break. You can use the arrows to move spoilers.
Ω Over 700 special character & icons are now available. Click Ω
to access them. They are text based which allows you to resize them
with the font size & color them with the font color picker
Advanced Color Pickers on text color & background.
Table management & STYLES! Working with tables will be MUCH easier now. Besides being easier to create, edit and delete rows & columns you can now MERGE & RESIZE them! You can also change the table background style... none, site (default) & material are currently available.
Auto saves periodically so that you can restore or recover posts. Location independent (wall post, thread, submission, etc)
Better Fullscreen : Now fullscreen won't take up the actual fullscreen... why? Because if
you have a large monitor having text span across a thousand yards is
going to be unpleasant to read & work with. No more!

Advanced Media Support in Editor

Advanced Media : Images, Video & Audio | All media is visible in the editor AND playable!
Image Dimensions
: you can now set the width & height of an image / gif. Can define
one or both dimensions. Define one and it will maintain the aspect
ratio.
Video Support : Youtube, .mp4, .webm, .avi, .gifv!
Audio Support : .mp3, .wav, .ogg
Edit Media : Select media element & click the icon. Right-click the media if it's video / audio.

There are always bugs & tweaks to be made after an update that needs to support many different locations & purposes on the website plus devices, browsers & operating systems. If you found a bug with the editor or have a feature suggestion, please open a ticket.
