"As the party is travelling through the far northern wastelands to an outpost that contains important information, you're struck by an intense blizzard. Deciding to press on despite low visibility, you know you would freeze to death far too quickly if you stopped and waited it out. Roughly 3 miles into your travels in this blizzard, you catch a quick glint of blue, feeling uneasy about it, you turn to check with the rest of the party to see if they also saw it. They confirm they did, but wait, you notice the rope you tied around your waists to keep from losing each other has gone slack at the end, torn. Someone is missing, your dwarven ally is gone.

You are not alone out here."

White dragons are the most animilistic of their kind, not overly intelligent compared to the other chromatic dragons, but they are incredible hunters. They are also the smallest of the chromatic dragons.

I see them as stalking their prey in blizzards, hiding under layers of snow until they have an opportune moment to pick off the creatures they are hunting one by one. If discovered, they become highly aggressive during combat.

Mini is from the Unpainted Nolzur's Marvellous Miniatures line, the Young White Dragon. I do however have a prepainted Adult White Dragon coming sometime in the near future and my god is it huge, based on the prepainted Sapphire Dragon I have. Even then, theres an Ancient White Dragon coming early next year too which is far larger.
Painted with Vallejo paints, plus a homemade wash using a cheap acryllic black and brown paint, a bit of water and a tiny bit of dishwashing liquid for it to flow nicely.
The base is a 3inch round base with a large rock centered in the middle, sourced from my back yard, I did paint the rock as well, unpainted stuff next to a painted model looks off. I mixed a reflective white snow looking flock, which has small glass shard in to give the shine, with a little bit of PVA glue and water to get the snow effect.

Bit more of a passion project of mine this one, Cyclops from the X-Men. While I don't have any attachment to the character, or tbh the X-Men themselves, this bust really stood out to me when I got the pack of busts from Eastman. I have a very bad and rough colour sketch here, but it's time to be laying down the actual paint and getting an even base coat still more layers to go for the blue before anything else, building up from dark to light.

The shoulder pads, X logo and textured rib section are going to be yellow. The collar, inside of the X logo, layered...vent looking pads on the chest, the strips in the blue parts of the rib section and likely the sleeve trim is going to be black. The visor is going to be metallic with the red strip down the middle. Hair a reddish brown and caucasian skin.

And it's done, birthday present for my mum, though long overdue. Only waiting on the satin varnish to dry before seeing if I need more layers of varnish on it.

....And as you can see the chat is once again active, which is a very rare sighting. Thanks for reading, & this was a deep look at the PMC chat by national geographic.
