From the cute horse skins collection!
~by yours trully

Appaloosa is the common name for the white spotting patterns resulting from the leopard complex activator genes. It works a bit differently than other patterns and will show difference in marking density aswell as round spots appearence in the markings areas relating with the gene activated and if it is homozigous or heterozigous.
The Pattens are mostly known for the white areas generated mostly on the back to the flanks of the horse, with round spots of color in the marking areas, the stiping pattern on the hooves and heavily mottled skin, however, there are many expressions of the leopard complex.
The appaloosa pattern is actually one of the oldest known white pattern in horses, being present in horses from the prehistoric ages.
The Textures to add the markings in game ;)

It is surely one of the most varied marking gene! I'm specialy fond of the blanket variation.
