Brook trout are a species of freshwater fish apart of the trout and salmon family native to eastern north America, although they have been introduced to many other environments throughout the world. They are typically brown, olive, or silver colored with yellow worm like markings, and red dots on their sides with blue halos around them. They can also have bright orange or red colored bellies. They can only survive in very cold water that remains clean and permanently flowing throughout the year. They feed on a variety of insects, both aquatic and terrestrial, and in some cases they can eat smaller fish or even mice. They are also very hard to replicate for a minecraft re-texture because they are so damn detailed irl lol
