Horses
have
two main coat colors: Black and Red. The red coloration is named chestnut or sorrel on horses and it can vary from a dark, nearly black brown to a striking bright rust and a sandy light brown.
The Chestnut horse
has only red hairs on it's body, being a range of redish browns, with dark skin and brown eyes.
The lighter sorrel horses can be as light as to be confused with a darker palomino, aswell as some darker shades can be confused with bay or even black horses.
