For this skin I actually got most of the colors from the actual texture of a block of gold. I ended up not using all of them, but I think it turned out pretty well. I also kept the emerald eyes from the skin I based it on. To fit it into my own Minecraft lore would be that this type of golem (just made of gold) wasn’t made for effectiveness or durability, although you could say that, but rather that it was made by the wealthy, and was meant to be a sign of this rich they were. They had so much gold that they could afford to turn it into a golem. Now I know what you’re thinking. Don’t the villagers use emeralds? Well, I see it as the emeralds being to fragile as crystals to construct a full golem, so the villagers used the next best sign of wealth, gold, but still put some emeralds in as the eyes.
