When the Underworlders started their civilization, they brought some creatures with themselves. One of those creatures where the slimes. Due to the radiation & heat of the Nether (located below Europe), these slimes have taken on the properties of lava, becoming the magma cubes. Slaying them is difficult & dangerous. Their gel is covered with sulfuric powders. To this very day, this are one of the few ancestors of the creatures that live in the volcanic tunnels if Earth. They migrated to the Underworld (located below the Americas), where they didn't evolve in to magma cubes.

You should make the ancestors of hoglins and piglins which evolved from pigs

That's my plan. The mobs that are left are: the hoglin, the piglin, the zombified piglin, the ghast, the blaze, & the wildfire. My idea is the the hoglin evolved from big wildboar-like animals that evolved from pigs & the piglin evolved from pigmans to explain the zombie pigmans.
