The Sham is an ancient, legendary creature from the older days of the Overworld. No one knows for sure how the story originated.
In legend, the Sham is a demon-possessed bed, cursed by a witch. It waits for a victim to lie upon itself. As they fall asleep, the Sham slowly drains their soul out of the body. By next morning, all that remains is an empty husk.
