this data pack was originally something i was making for a map i'm making but i liked it so much i decided to make it into a normal datapack that can be played in normal worlds. it adds a bunch of custom mobs and changes some of the vanilla ones as well as changes a lot of the loot tables and just a bunch of other random stuff.

i will probably right a proper description with all of the changes at some point but for now here are the ones i remember:

- end
  • chorus infected zombies with chorus infected stone swords replace some of the endermen that spawn near chorus plants (when the player uses the chorus sword they are tp'd behind the mob they hit)
  • shulkers replace endermen that spawn near purpur blocks
  • endermites that have been on a purpur block for long enough will go into it and turn the block into a shulker
- ocean
  • eels replace the first 4 drowned the spawn near a player (they are extremely rare)
  • charged eels replace a drowned near magma when the 4 normal eels have already spanwed
  • nautilus mobs replace cod that spawn near magma
  • drowned that spawn near guardians will be holding a custom sword
  • jelly fish replace cod that spawn near sponge (they don't do much except poison you at the moment)
- nether
  • the nether worm will replace one zombie pigman that spawns near the player (they follow and circle the player and are probably the best mob ever)
  • wither skelletons hold custom withered stone swords (when the player use it, the mobs that are hit get the wither effect)
- overworld
  • zombies and skeletons that spawn near pumpkins have pumpkins on there heads
  • creepers that spawn on mycelium turn into explosive poison mushrooms
  • zombies and skeletons that spawn near rails will be holding tnt that they will use when the player get to close
  • spiders that spawn near cobwebs will become cave spiders
  • mobs thet spawn near iron/coal will have different armor/weapons
  • creepers that spawn in deserts will be replaced by red beetles
  • skeletons that spawn on podzoil will be replaced by neutral green beetles
  • zombie villagers that spawn near small ferns will become quartz golems (they activate when they or a mob near then is hit)
  • ghosts replace drowned that spawn near blue ice (they can only be damaged when the player is holding the wand)
  • crabs spawn on sand near water (drops crab)
  • drowned replace zombies that spawn on sand near water

some other changes/ additions
  • ghasts drop ghast meat (gives levitation. can be eaten even when player is full)
  • ghosts drop ghost meat (lets player become a ghost for a bit. can be eaten even when player is full)
  • netherwart fruit sometimes drop from zombie pigmen
  • eatable silverfish drop from silver fish that are killed sometimes
  • nether quartz and and gold are now found in there apposing dimensions now
  • add some changes to structures
  • reworked/balanced recipes (for mobs and blocks)
That's all i can think of for now.

The zip contains the datapack and resource pack so you will need to open it and place them in there respective places for this to work

A lot of this the mobs in this datapack aren't perfect and i will probably end up improving them

Hope you enjoy :)

here's a link to a template datapack including all of the customizable vanilla structures:

just unzip it, locate the structure file that you want to replace and load it into a world using a structure block. once you've done that you can just edit the structure how ever you want then save it with the structure block and then move it back into its correct place in the datapack replacing the old structure file.

Note some structures like the villages and pillager outpost use jigsaw blocks so the can be really annoying to edit while making sure the structure still has all of its correct jigsaw blocks.
oh and fossils will probably crash your game if you replace them , lol they're really annoying to edit

and natural structures normally generate from the bottom NW corner (where the structure block generates it from) so you should probably keep that in mind if your making the bonding box of some structures bigger

first type /kill @e[type=!minecraft=player]
This will kill all entitys except the player to make sure one hasnt already spawned

Secondly quickly summon a zombie pigman on netherrack
You will be close to it so it will immediately attack you so go into spectator mode to escape it
Good stuff.
Is this for 1.13?

how do you make data-pack with structures or custom mobs like yours... i've always wanted to do one with custom structures but i never lear how to... is there any trick to it or do you need to know extensive java coding???

The structures in this datapack are just replacing the vanilla ones so its fairly simple and you can probably find information on it somewhere on the internet.

The mobs are also fairly simple but they can be more complicated. I think I remember seeing some decent videos on it on YouTube
And no you just need a basic understanding of what commands do and how to use them, and I mainly learned this through trial and error and you will need to know the structure of a datapack which you can find online
I got "More Structures" as one of my upcoming datapacks. You might want to check that out. It's coming soon!

any advice from you to making custom structures without replacing the vanilla ones??? also i made some nether structures but never knew how to implement it. The link to the world download will be posted below and i thought you might want to use them for your upcoming datapack. If you do please credit me tho.

I made this datapack for custom structures a while ago:
Its not the best or anything but maybe you could use if for reference or something.
I was also thinking of using the new villagers to test for the biomes maybe that could be useful
An advice on that: Try to consider chunk-loading mechanics. That might be a huge issue in making custom structures.
The structures are nice, but I prefer making my own. But still, awesome stuff.

for the resourse pack: do you just put it in the resource pack folder?
