Pre-Historic Mod is a mod for minecraft. It adds a new dimension with cool new biomes, blocks and Items. You get there using a unique portal design, and from there explore the new dimension going deep into your past. On the way you will encounter many dinosaurs including Raptors and Ceratosaurus which are violent and will do all they can to try and kill you. On the other hand there are cute and adorable dinos including Dodos, Ichthyosaurus and Gallinimus. in total there are 13 new mobs/Dinos! There are also lots of new trees that spawn that cover the land scape. Some are small whereas some are as tall as the clouds!
The Main features are as of now...
1) New Dimension that you get to in a unique portal design:
To get to the dimension you need to create a Time Machine in the crafting table. Once you have done that right click it to activate it and BAM you have your self a portal.
2) New Biomes:
I added 9 new Biomes in the dimension. Some look amazing as the formations that generate are cool as heck. The Biomes as of Beta V1.2.0 are Highlands, Coal Swamp, Rainforest, Island, Red Desert, Bog, Plains, River and Ocean.
3) Deadly Velociraptors:
These guys may look cute be in fact they are deadly and are a pain to kill. They come in 3 different skins: Green, Brown and Grey. Velociraptors can bee found at night or in dark places, they do 3 hearts of damage and have 12.5 hearts them selves. They drop Velociraptors claw, and the claw can be made into a powerful dagger.
4) 13 New Mobs:
There are many new mobs/dinos that spawn in the Past/New Dimension. These include: Tar Slime, Velociraptor, Ammonite, Crab, Hadrosaur,
5) Multiplayer Support
Explore the Past with a friends at your side. Just be the one that finds everything and the one that is not being killed by Velociraptors!
One note about SMP. To install use the Universal version of forge. So install this on the server then place the same zip file as you would use on the client in the mods folder where the server is.
6) Cool Structures
One of the many landmarks and structures that is the volcano. It contains 1000's of blocks of lava that go all the way to bedrock. This is defiantly not a sight to miss.
7) In Game Crafting Book:
This is very useful as when you right click with the book in your hand it opens up a GUI that tells you all the crafting Recipes in the Pre-Historic Mod. So no more searching for recipes. To get the book create a TIme Machine then place it on the ground and right click on it, as you would to create the portal in the first place. At the same time if there is space in your inventory it will add the book to one of the slots in your inventory.
8) Auto Version Checker
This is a cool little feature that checks for an update everytime you launch minecraft then go on world. It will tell you what version the latest version of the mod is and also what version of Minecraft it is for (the bit after the dash). You can disable it in the config file (config file found in .minecraft/config/PreHistoricMod.cfg)if you want to stay on a version below and you are getting annoyed of it popping up everytime you join a world.

Installation
Client / Single Player
- Download the Version for your version of Minecraft and Forge.
- Open that forge download with an archiver. I recommend 7zip or Winrar.
- Open the minecraft.jar file with your archiver (7zip, Winrar).
- Copy the files from inside the forge download into the minecraft.jar file.
- On Windows and Linux, delete the META_INF folder.
On Mac, go into the META_INF folder and delete only the files which begin with 'MOJANG'. Leave the rest untouched. - Close both archives and run your client once. Exit the game without loading or creating a world.
- If you have done everything right, you will now have a 'mods' folder in your .minecraft folder.
Server
- Download the Version for your version off Minecraft and Forge.
- Open that forge download with an archiver. I recommend 7zip or Winrar.
- Open the minecraft_server.jar file with your archiver (7zip, Winrar).
- Copy the files from inside the forge download into the minecraft_server.jar file.
- Close both archives and run your server once. Exit the game.
- If you have done everything right, you will now have a 'mods' folder in the same folder where you run minecraft_server.jar.
