Miscellaneous Team Fortress Things

This mod adds a few more TF2-related things to Minecraft. It doesn't add dispensers and sentries, as pitman-87 has already made those in a separate mod. I'm fairly certain that no-one else has made this part of TF2 as a Minecraft mod before, but if they have, then I apologise but here's some healthy competition).

Image

Above are the health and ammo pickups added by this mod. I do however plan on adding more things in the future.

Left to right: Small Health Pickup (heals 2 health), Small Ammo Pickup (gives 16 arrows*), Medium Health Pickup (heals 3 health), Medium Ammo Pickup (gives 48 arrows), Large Health Pickup (heals 5 health), Large Ammo Pickup (gives 80 arrows).

The arrows given by the ammo pickups can be changed in the config, so if you have a mod installed that adds guns, you could change it to the itemid of the bullets required.

Copyright Stuff:
Do not distribute this mod without my permission. Assume that you do not have my permission until you have asked me and I have said yes. You are not allowed to directly link to the download. Link to this webpage on PlanetMinecraft) instead. Do not put anything to do with this mod behind any monetizing links (for example, adf.ly). I'm doing this for free, there's no reason you should feel the need to make money from this. You do not need my permission to do a video of this. You are not allowed to be one of those websites that continually steals all the text, images (and then has the audacity to put your own watermark in my screenshots), if you do, then you do not have my permission to do anything. Go away.

Team Fortress 2 is owned by Valve, I do not own Valve or Team Fortress 2.

Finally:
This mod requires Minecraft Forge, and will most definitely work on servers/multiplayer.

If you read the post, the only time I even mention guns is when I talk about how you can change the id of the ammo given by ammo pickups to the ammo of a different mod.

If you read down the page, you'll notice that people are asking for guns to be added, and I reply with something along the lines of "probably, soon".

Hey I have a question: How do I make blocks/mobs with custom models? Because I can't do it. (Maybe help me with my mod?)

Firstly, if you're not using Forge, then do.

Secondly, the way I've done these pickups is 2 different ways:
 • The small square rectangle below each block is simply a block with custom boundaries - you can check in pressure plate and repeater code for how to do that.
 •
 • The actual pickup itself is done in a similar way to how signs are done. Check tile entity rendering. There's a little bit of OpenGL you'll need to do, but Signs and Chests should point you in the right direction.

This mod will probably be released as open source when it reaches a certain number of downloads (I haven't decided yet), so you could check my code when/if I release it.

I am using forge. I just need to make a battery and a health kit. And how to make mobs have custom models using forge. (I am remaking my Half-Life mod for forge because forge is better.)

Forge is so much better :D

Setting the model for mobs depends on how your render class is layed out, but usually you'll have a field somewhere that says what model the class is using. You can change that there. Sometimes the model will be passed as a parameter to the constructor of the render class, so you'll need to change it there too, if it is.

Maybe you could post some tutorials on your youtube account. I have seen some of your tutorials on youtube. I can send you my code to you, but I don't want you to use it because I have made it. (I am pretty sure you wouldn't anyways but just in case ;)

Could you repeat the question? I'm not quite sure what you mean. I write all my own code, with no 3rd party applications, if that's what you mean.

My mods are made by me writing my own code in a text editor, either Vim or Eclipse.

It's a text editor, basically. Usually it's installed by default on some Linux distros, though it's usually Vi that's installed by default, instead of Vim.

You don't edit .class files, you edit .java files and then compile into .class files.

I've a few videos on my channel that introduce the basics of minecraft modding with forge.
