The 1.8 version on Minecraft Forum

Content

This mod adds customizable string lights which can be fairy or Christmas lights.

Crafting

Fairy Lights are crafted by a horizontal combination of iron ingot, string or stick, iron ingot, along with any combination of dyes to specify a color pattern (left-right, top-down). If glowstone is included the fairy lights will twinkle. If string is used there will be slack in the connection and if a stick is used the connection will be straight. Here are some examples:

Fairy Lights Usage

Right click on the side of a block, or an existing fastener, to place a fastener, now there will be a connection from the fastener to you. From then you right click on another side of a block, or an existing fastener, to complete the connection.

Is there one for 1.5.2? I've tried looking but either I'm useless, blind or they haven't made one yet.
Nope! I tried looking, but it seems like there is no 1.5.2. Sorry! I usually switch to 1.6.4 or 1.7.10, but that might be hard to do if all your mods are only 1.5.2.
is there a 1.2.2 fairy light mod yet? or is it in the making?
Exactly
Is there a version for 1.10.2?

Is there a way to get the different colors in creative mode without crafting? Also, can you have up to 6 colors? I'd like to have at least 5.

the fact that they do not emit too bright light is really nice for me at least, because it wouldnt look so realistic in combination with the nightime or at least thats how it looks in my 1.7.10 game. Great mod! many thanks!!

On the 1.8 version i am getting an error saying OpenGL Error1283 Stack overflow... any idea what the cause is?
I'm LOVE to see this for 1.8 Forge. I'd love to get this and decorate my place with these Fairy Lights :)

Interesting mod :D

This would be great if there was custom music to suit the fairly lights and minecraft overall. Like festival type music, or christmas and calm relaxing music, something of the like that can be played when the time calls for some atmosphere :>

Just wanting to get that of my mind.

Its an awesome mod but if its fairy lights why do them like that instead of with a bottleu can catch fairys thru ur world, with the fairy in a bottle u could put it in a crafting table and ir gives u 4 fairy lights or whatever the amount. For painting them then just put the bottle in the table and add the dyes. Same thing just adding cool fairys around the world glowing in the night and catching them for your own lights!

hope u like the idea :D great mod keep it up
MUST GET.

I had a suggestion for your Mod:

Can you change the recipe?
Instead of 2 iron ingots, maybe use glowstone lamps, or glowstone blocks.
I'm using other mods that also use 2 iron ingots to craft tools, and since I have installed your mod, everytime I try to craft those tools I only got fairy lights.

I'll give you an image of the issue:

(My english is bad, I'm sorry if this is not understandable)

Would there be anyway to make the connectors on the end more transparent like glass blocks instead of white? I like using these in the trees but doesnt look so good with the white blocks showing. Thanks!
