It's MrCrayfish and I'm back with another update with the skateboarding mod! In this new version we have new features and gameplay improvements.

For new features, it is now possible to change the texture of the slopes and stairs to what ever texture you want. Simply right click it with any block of your choice and it will become that texture!

Another new feature is grind locking. Basically now when you start grinding now, it will automatically align you in the center of the rail and will point your player in the correct direction. It is still possible to control the direction your player is going, just on the initial start of the grind, the locking mechanism will kick in.

In terms of gameplay improvements, I've clean up a lot of code. I've fixed some visual glitches, skateboard is more aligned to player direction, improvements for servers. Let's just say it feels more polished now!

Welcome back! It's been a while. Why have I decided to start working on this mod again? Well 1.9.4 introduced a change in the code, by where movement is now handled client side. This means that this mod will now work in servers smoothly. On top of that, I have added a bunch of new features. The video below will explain everything.

Sorry for the down time on this mod. I actually had to provide a download link for this to be a valid submission or it would be taken down. I can now say that you can download the development version you may have seen in CaptainSparklez' video.

Also I'm still looking for skateboard designs to add into the actual mod. If you think you can make a cool skateboard, download this template and design a board. Upload them (preferably Imgur) and I might consider adding them :)

I thought I may aswell take advatange of thse update logs instead of posting to Twitter of my progress (mind you I am still posting progress there too). Here is a little video of some progress I have made. You can now skate either in regular or goofy. Basically tricks have to spin the opposite way. This could be done by simply inversing the values and creating a helper class.

You may know me from creating a Furniture Mod, well I have started creating a new mod. This is a Skateboarding Mod. I have always wanted to create this for a very long time, even before my Furntirue Mod. The mod is currently in development at the moment, so please do not ask for a download. I have a ton of features to add to this mod. If you want to keep up to date with development, make sure you follow me on Twitter.

Features to be added:
- Customisation of the skateboard
- Animations
- Dynamic ollie height
- Tons of trick
- Helmet, Pads, etc
- Ramps (not curved)
- Grinding rails

Thumbs up to you, MrCrayfish, you've done it again.
May I suggest some additions to the mod? Whatever, I'm gonna do it anyways.
This mod is in much need of a separate website OR forum OR section on your website to post skateparks.
May I also suggest custom skateboards and cross compatibility with your never-not-awesome MrCrayfish Furniture mod, which, for the amount of items in the mod, the possibilities are endless. Think about it. Grinding on chairs, cool elevated table platforms, which, knowing you, you'd figure out. Speaking of elevation, why not make a custom tool to seamlessly curve ramps and rails, like handicapped paths I've seen running around our town's university. The amount of potential features for this mod is huge.

IDK why my game crashing when i place slop stairs and corner slop but when i place skateboard rail or flat rail it's not crashinfg and i can normally do tricks

when it loads it says "fml.messages.mod.dependicies" halp
you need to extract the RenderPlayerAPI
Get forge then java and open forge with java then play Minecraft 1.9.4. Then download this mod & RenderPlayerAPI. After that, go to your profile, then go to open dir, then go to mods, when you're in mods folder put both files csm-0.0.3-mc1.9.4 & RenderPlayerAPI-1.9.4-1.1 in the mods folder. then close it press save in Minecraft launcher. Then you will get all the items for the mod

I got on and then my character messed up so i had 2 big black squares on my head and my legs were invisible and they were like attached to the bottom of my legs and the only fix for it was uninstall it pls fix I really want it

How do you do a trick?
to do a kick flip you need to ollie then press d and Heelflip when a then (Idk what trick this s since im not a skater) do an ollie and press ADS quickly or SDA

I would download and diamond this mod if you can only add waves and surfing. It would be easy just only make it work in water and look like a surfboard.

Uhm, I would like to report an error with this mod... My Forge minecraft is freaking out.. It just shows normal dirt background and strange graphical glitches i think in the middle of the screen

Are darkslides in the mod at this point? (build1) I was playing and I tried grinding and instead of doing a 50-50, I did a darkslide, is this a bug or is it in the mod? If it is in the mod, can I get the controlls?‏‏
This mod is under development also doing a dark slide is sliding on a rail while the skateboard is upside down and then flipping it back.

Hey Mr Cray fish, i really like the mo but if you made a 1.7.10 version it would be great.

there is barely any mods for 1.8 and I want to use it in a map im making(it's not going to be published)
Please make this mod for 1.7.10, I want to use the mod but i have other mods installed that is not yet available for 1.8. :(

From Apple's coding some mods are just not welcome (know u know why i don't use a MAC :)) So im not shore on full detail on the MAC main codes but i know for shore macs are the worst for mods!

You have NO idea what you're talking about. Macs have the same amount of modability as Windows. Boiing587 probably just installed it wrong. Either that or he didn't have RenderPlayerAPI installed. Or perhaps the mod clashed with another mod. Apple's Mac code is fully capable of handling Javascript (which in case you didn't know is what minecraft is coded with) so you sir, are stupid.
