Dowloads not working
When I load the world it crashes. plz Help
does this do pocket edition to java?
only issue im having know is it doesn't bring my structures over like I cant find my house that I built well mansion
Does not convert images. Image items just lying on the ground when converted to pocket edition. Command Block spawns don't work. Rest works perfectly thatnks for programming this awesome tool ;)
Worked great, and very fast on converting map (several seconds for a few hundred mb map). I will keep an eye open for the issues below, but otherwise my new favorite Minecraft Tool.

Cheers.

PS - Even if they don't fix any of the issues mentioned by anyone, I hope the dev/creator keeps this up to date with the latest versions in the future.

Guys, I found this converter on the Windows 10 store and it seems to work well If anyone else wants to try https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/andromeda-converter-for-minecraft/9nrrvm1vrnjr

I bought this and it worked on my World Painter custom world. I can play it properly but there's one glitch. My whole world was covered in red sand and after conversion I have some very trippy stripes with red sand and normal sand, right across the entire map. Now all I need is some way to change all normal sand into red sand. This is the closest I've got to creating my martian environment. I'd love a way to turn off all animals spawning too. Who ever heard of donkeys on mars.
Did you buy it?
Well it worked initially, but as I played I noticed a few bugs. The only major one so far that bothers me is that the monster spawners in the nether are not working. Also achievements don't seam to be working. My cow farm wont spawn new cows when I feed them wheat. I ported my MC Java save to Windows 10 edition. This save is a single player survival mode on normal save. I've only played the converted save for about 20 minutes so I dont know if there are more bugs.

Hi. I've been directed to this converter because of my struggles porting a java map I created in world painter. I've tried everything from mc edit to the WorldtoPe android app to convert it to PE. I came really close with worldtope and the map worked on my phone. It could be played but wouldn't save any changes and reverted back to original every time its closed. I've tried using your converter. I'm getting failed almost instantly. I read through and did things you suggested. Updating java etc and still the same result. Its not even a difficult map. Its a mars environment so the whole thing is red sand, red sandstone, caves, hills and mountains. I'm really struggling with this. Do you have any advice on how I could get it to work? Any help would be massively appreciated. I've tried every possible method I just think my laptop is too rubbish.
Are there any command blocks? Is this a custom world? (Superflat, ect.)
If your world is an Environment / Landscape sort of map, it was likely built on a superflat world.
Sorry I can't help you much....

Hi thanks for responding. No it wasn't a super flat. It was a custom world generated in World Painter and exported as a Java MC world. There are no command blocks. Its just literally normal except the surface is only red sand stone and red sand. No trees, no grass, no water. To simulate the surface of mars. I had put craters and mountains and a very large ravine. If it can't be done it can't be done but thanks for your assistance nonetheless.

I've a minecraft world that I'm trying to convert. Everything seems to convert okay but when I check my Blaze spawner in the nether, the cage is empty. Is this a limit of the converter or a bug?

I have a spider spawner in the normal world that converted fine.
I have to same problem.
Probably a bug. If It's a creative world you can click on the spawner with a Blaze Spawn Egg to make it back to normal. If your in survival, except the fact that this program is not perfect. lol
Things to note:
- Works for a regular survival world without command blocks/ special items that are unobtainable in survival
-Works for a creative world with little to no command block features
- Does not work with superflat worlds or Amplified
- Does not copy inventory
- You will first spawn at the original world's spawnpoint, not your bed or where you left off

Suggestions
- Make the aquatic update comapable
- Make special worlds compatable

Side Note Flaw- When I copied my world, my enchanted items were not the same. It replaced all my enchants with "Channeling"
If you are planning on using this, please consider that it may not work, given the contents of your world.
P.S. Double Chests are converted in to two single chests :/

Im having an odd issue with mine. The conversion prosses works just fine i have no issues there but when i put the converted map into the windows 10 version and attempt to load it it loads for a few seconds then a message pops up saying that there isnt enough space and that minecraft cant save any further progress which isnt true at all i have 781GB left on my hard drive. Im normally pretty good at finding a work around but this one has me scratching my head. Any ideas?
THANK YOU!!!
Okay, so I just downloaded this file but for some reason theirs no direct link to install this. All I see is a bunch of folders tht says things like (aix, com, darwin,de,es,linux, and the list goes on) Am I missing something here, do I need to find it in one of the folders?

Hi, I am trying to convert the Java world that my family and friends have used since Nov 2011, it only seems to be able to cope with 1 strip of the world.

My guess is it is probably because we had the millenaire mod running at one point and there are some entities that it doesn't like. The mod is no longer on and we have had several 'ghost' towns ever since : )

If anyone can help I would be most grateful as it has a lot of history for us.

Many thanks,
Astargoth

Hi! Whenever I try to convert my world, it says "conversion failed, you will have to do it manually". I've tried many different worlds but still got the same result. Could you please help me to convert the world below from java to pe and send the converted file back to me? It would be great if you could. Thx <3

P/s: I also have many worlds that need to be converted as well. It would be nice if you could also show me how to fix the problem so I would be able to do it myself. Thx again

No clue on how to "Fix the problem..." It just works on my end. The only time it did notw as the first time I tiried before I had updated my java....

First, make sure your java is up to date and the right version for your OS...(64/32 bit), then try again. See if it gets the same error or new, or works.

In the meantime...Pick the most important ones and we can start with those.

Edit: And upload as a zip or RAR single file. i do not have a media fire account, nor will I make one just for this.

Hello, I have recently tried to use this converter to transfer my world from java to windows 10. (BC all my friends play Xbox) When I tried to convert the file it gave me an error message that said I needed to do the conversion manually. could one of you please do the conversion for me and reply with the converted file? if so that would be great. Thanks in advance. :)

I can give this a try...

Edit: first try converted, but there is something that it cannot convert properly, which causes it to crash when the section loads...something you have customized...
Hmm, my world was originally from Xbox 360 which I brought over to pc and only now I am wanting it on windows 10. when I bought it from Xbox to pc the world was a little corrupted (Some tree leaves and wood were swapped) could be something to do with that.thanks for your help anyways.
I removed something from the world file I had forgotten I added a long time ago (Loot Tables) If you could try this again that would be helpful. (also idk if my enchants could be messing with it I removed my armor of me anyway) (if you half so I guess you could remove the player data files. also, does anyone know how to transfer a mc texture pack over to windows 10. I made my own and didn't know if there was a way of moving it over. world file - www.mediafire.com/file/o7b4lj4wityb58n/FoxyFoxBurrows%20Fix.zip

There is still something that causes it to crash...but the conversion is working otherwise....

About there....Every time it tries to load that area it crashes...been able to fly around a lot of other areas...
thanks for trying to help. guess ill keep looking for a new way to convert. maybe if I get a friends Xbox with realms I could try and download it there. maybe if you could (or want to) make a video (like on youtube or some other video service) showing how you converted so others like me can use trial and error to see whats causing the problem. thx anyways :)

There is not much to it...and it is not video worthy really...

I download the files for whoever I am helping. I copy them to the Java Minecraft saves folder and open the world in Java Minecraft to make sure it works there first, and to get an eye for what I need to look for after the conversion to confirm it worked. Then I close out of the Minecraft world (Sometimes I close Minecraft Java entirely, sometimes not)

I double click on the converter Jar file and it opens. It by default (apparently) recognizes the most recent map added/opened, and then I hit convert world. Depending on how big it is I may watch and wait, larger ones I will go do something else while I wait. It notifies me that the world is converted and I hit Okay, Then I wait for it to be "compacted" and hit okay. Then I open Windows 10 version of Minecraft and load the level. It may start me in aplace that is not the same as the Java map start location, so at that point I go look for the content to confirm accurate conversion.

Now...in your case...Allt hat goes like it is supposed to...except...something that does get "converted" is done in a way that the windows 10 Minecraft does not know how to properly load it when you approach...so the overall world is converted, but you cannot come within proximity of whatever that item is on your own without it crashing.

Mine was a custom villager with a custom trade. I had 2 of them in 2 villages and as soon as I removed them, everything else worked perfectly (See the Crystalis maps on my page)
OK, thanks for letting me know. I guess most people like me can’t do it for some reason. Do you think this would work if I were to remove all entities and mobs. Can items in chess or blocks cause this? Do you think? And what do you mean by custom? Like spawned in through commands with things that aren’t in the normal game? Thanks again for trying to help convert my world.

Edit: I removed all mobs and entities (item frames and armor stands) if I half to id delete all the chest and stuff if this doesn't work. if you could try this one that would be nice :) www.mediafire.com/file/l8iwfs29t7p9wc0/FoxyFoxBurrows%20Fix.zip

Unfortunately, I do not know the answer to that at this time. My own map I could trace to very specific entities, custom spawned villagers with specific custom trade options. All the other villagers could be left alone and the conversion works(ed).

Now..when you say things not in the normal game...that would seem to be a likely source.

Those are the "kinds" of things that I assume can cause the issue.

The structural map appears to be fine outside the area of whatever is loading ion that spot. I will take a look at this adjusted one this weekend and see what we can see.

Looks like the area that was causing the crash is fine now...something in what you removed was the issue...Disclaimer...i have not explored your entire world...just enough to trust that the conversion is complete.

drive.google.com/open?id=1Iz5o8ofeQuE9jQMJiFZm42ODYkTyKHeF
Thanks. I’ll try this when I get home.

I reset the end and nether just in case. And I got rid of all entities like armor stands mobs villagers item frames etc. and I reset all player data and the world icon.

every time I try to download it it claims the archive is corrupt. can you upload a new version or to a different location?
Does a window appear displaying "ERROR: conversion failed. You will have to convert manually."? If so, we are in the same boat.

Btw, stevieleevy, I was able to open the .jar. it was a Java reader issue. Thanks for the response.

Always the firs thing since it is Java. XD

Errors beyond that I am less able to troubleshoot. I have just had almost perfect conversion rates. ^_^;;

There is still one I am working on slowly from a while ago...but it is lower priority unfortunately...
If I send you one of my worlds, would you be able to attempt a conversion? Perhaps there will be something you can work with. I only wish I knew what it meant by manual conversion.

There are several options, I just upload mine to my google drive and get a shareable link. Others have used mediafire successfully or dropbox shares, I am not sure why yours is "corrupt"...could delete it and try a new instance of it.
Sorry about the delay, stevie. The following link should bring you to one of my worlds: http://www.mediafire.com/folder/tcazx18e0ykys/Hearth_Wood

Best guess on how to fix it is ensure you have the proper version (64/32 bit) Java installed on your machine and the up to date version of whichever relevant Java you are supposed to have.

For myself, the first attempt I did way back failed, then I updated Java and it worked fine. Have not been able to troubleshoot further.

In the meantime...I can give it a try next week when I am back from my trip.
