NOTE: Necroing this 3 year old project because I randomly felt like fixing a fatal bug that I never got around to. I am not continuing work on this.

Better Weaponry Mod by that2guy!

This is a mod that introduces new weapons into minecraft, to make it more exhiliarating! After the intial alpha and beta updates, this will be a fleshed out mod, where you and your friends can get some of this mod's guns, set up a CoD map and waste out the rest of the day!

NOTE: The 1.7.2 version of the mod will not be updated. Our 1.7 modeler has not replyed in a long time, so we assume he has moved on. Development will continue on this version if he wishes to return.

This mod includes four guns:

I'm assuming you haven't seen this before in the previous versions?

It's getting an error on Minecraft.getMinecraft() (saying it doesn't exist), which is weird. Try deleting the mod, running forge again, then re-download + install it. If that doesn't work, I'll try and fix it in 0.1.4.

0.1.3 should be a really good update! It'll add reload time, reload sounds and a sound for when you're gun is out of ammo and you have no magazines remaining. Just finishing up now, should be good to go either today or tommorow.

nice, it'd be cool if there were matching gilli suits too :D .
also just a random idea to maybe add to your to-do list. maybe in the future you should add grenade launcher attachment options to the heavy auto guns (ak, assult, large rifles).

Gilli suits are camo suits that snipers use to render them almost invisible (when worn u look like a pile of leaves).

As for the attachment, idk, you could for example add the attachment in a crafting table (or via a gui maybe) and then press the V key to switch between modes. the gun would keep the same texture but now fire small explosives.

This actually looks pretty cool, definitely keep the OP weapon damage idea it's realistic.

Will you eventually be adding attachments to the guns? if not that would be cool to be able to press a key to open a GUI and attach scopes and silencers and everything.

Right now the mod is in alpha, so we're still messing around with various ideas of how we want the end product to look like.
I had never thought of adding a GUI to modify the gun, and it seems like a pretty good idea. We'll keep it on the backburner for now, maybe add attachments later on in the 0.1 updates.
Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated! If you want to keep up with the mod, just hit the favorite button. This mod hasn't updated in a fair bit due to school and my recent obsession with rubiks cubes, but now I'm finding more time to program.

Haha, the rubiks cube. I got so obsessed with solving it I just cheated and built a robot to do it for me xD

i think you should lower the ammo capacity of the assault rifle to 30 or 25, also, make the deagle less op and change the capacity to 7 (the real one). The sniper is relly well tho! good mod and keep up the good work! :D

the guns seem way too op, especially the assault rifle, you should really lower the damage by 3 for the guns (maybe more for the sniper) and lower the ammo cap from the assault rifle from 64 to about 20 or 24

why? if it is realistic to have them op why aren't the melee weapons op as well, and if this was in a modpack it will most likely going to be the first thing people make to defend themselves. op is not always fun, mods like this aren't made for realism but for fun
