- 1.9 Combat Update is ... quite something. The old combat system we know and love is just isn't there anymore. Then more updates was released and there has been no revert,or at least even an option for the players to use the combat mechanics they like more.
That is,until now...
Introducing "CoolTimeZero" Datapack!
- Disable Attack CoolDown (or enable it personally) whenever you like!
How to enable CoolTimeZero + Notes:
Cool Time Zero is deafult set to "off"
- Use /trigger ctz_enable to enable Cool Time Zero!
- Use /trigger ctz_enable set -1 to disable Cool Time Zero personally!
This feature is added so players in multiplayer servers can disable/enable this feature as they please.
Before you start complaining about anything, here are the notes:
- Due to the limitations in modifying playerdata in vanilla Minecraft, players won't be able to wear helmets if their Cool Time Zero is enabled.
(Sorry about that, it's the only way to make this work)
- Players wielding axes on Cool Time Zero will deal less damage than players wielding swords on Cool Time Zero
(If set to original, Axe will become insanely overpowered and will ruin the core gameplay mechanics)

Values remained the same without Cool Time Zero!

- You can use /trigger info, then click into the datapack name to know more about the datapack!

You can spam swords hits in exchange of the Helmet Slot. Am I right? I need my helmet more than my boots in combat. Pls change it to boots instead. Or if you can, in the offhand slot because offhand slot didn't exist until 1.9 like the feature of this data pack too!

Also:
"Players wielding axes on Cool Time Zero will deal less damage than players wielding swords on Cool Time Zero"
This feels like Swords are stronger against Axe.

And about the "offhand"slot - yes you can put it there but the players can use that to make infinite amounts of them which is not good for servers so putting it at the "head"slot is the best for now

Just discovered that you cannot replace it into anywhere but the "head" slot. #blamemojangforthat

(might add this in Notes)
And if you need to use a helmet you can always disable the PVP feature and turn it back on if you need it. Just don't turn it on while holding a helmet though since that wastes the helmet.

Do "replaceitem entity @s armor.boots" work at on.mcfunction? I'll test this later.
Or the head slot is the only one that can receive attribute modifications?

it would work if it's armor items but it's a bit OP for starter game. You just get free armor

head is the only one. Tested it for an option to replace it to armor slots but it didn't work so #blamemojangforthat
