Welcome to LotsOMobs. This is a mod that will give your game much more life! Together with a ton of new mobs come matching items, blocks, biomes, dimensions, weapons, tools and much much more! So scroll down and see the epicness!

This mod, including its code, textures and sounds are my own work. You are under no circumstances allowed to redistribute this mod, Either in parts or in its whole, repost or upload anywhere. The only exception is in a modpack, but for LotsOMobs to be distributed in a modpack, you will have to link back to this page or www.larsmods.com

Today I ported the 1.8 version to 1.9. I will continue work on this now, and the 1.8 version has been abandoned. Remember to always use the core module.

LotsOMobs har a server side texture issue. It was caused by me tøying to register the textures botn server and client side. 

Issue has been fixed and all modules have been updated.

Today I remade the penguins! They are no longer ugly, noisy creatures. But majestic Emperor Penguins! They will even slide over ice to go faster! This update also made changes to the core module, which affect penguin and fox spawn rates. The latest Arctic version requires Core 1.5 to work.

Happy new year everyone!

Today Ive added a few mobs. The forest module got a bear and a fox. The fox is tameable with raw boar meat and you can change his collar color like wolves. 

I also made a new module: Arctic. This one contains Polar bears and Polar foxes. Like the regular fox, the polar fox can be tamed. The polar fox is tamed with raw fish. 

The core module also got updated with new config options for foxes.

Almost done with my exams, but today I just couldn't find motivation to study. So instead I made a little jungle and swamps module. It has a gekko, frog, crocodile and a fly mob. The gekko was moved over from the plains module, so that has gotten an update as well. As usuall, the core module also got an update.

The desert module had a crash caused by a wrong import. It tried to get the model for the lizard from the forrest module, which caused problems. This has been solved. I also added a new mob, the scorpion! These little creatures weren't in the 1.7.10 version. They live in deserts and will attack/poison you so watch out and keep some milk at hand. 

The Core module has also been updated. Ive extended the config options and disabled some unused code for faster running.

Today comes with a new module: Deserts. This module adds Camels and lizards. Expect more desert mobs soon. This module requires the new updates LotsOMobs Core version 1.1 as well.

Todays update for LotsOMobs doesn't only add new features, it also changes the way LotsOMobs is build up. 

Previously you would download one, big jar file that contained all the LotsOMobs features, and needed to play with all of them. Now I have devided LotsOMobs into submods. This means that you can pick which modules you want, and don't want. The current modules are:
  • LotsOMobs Core
  • LotsOMobs Forrest and Plains
  • LotsOMobs Underwaterlife
The Core module is always required. It adds all items, and has all the resources required to get other modules to run. It does not contain any mobs, or reciped. Only core stuff needed for the other modules. 

Forrest and Plains adds all the stuff related to forrests and plains. Like Deers, Board, Ants, Gekkos, Moles etc, and all the items related with recipes. 

Underwaterlife adds underwater mobs and their items. 

Todays update also adds more underwater mobs:

Big fish and small fish, these can be found in the underwaterlife module

Example of module combinations that work/not work:

Combo 1:
Core, FaP, UwL, Will work, and has all the features for 1.8

Combo 2:
Core, FaP, Will work, and only has the forrest features

Combo 3:
FaP, UwL, Will not work because it doesnt include the core module

Today was a long and tough battle with the 1.8 swimming AI. But after some changes and sniffs of vanilla code I got it working pretty nicely. 

This update adds:
  • Moles, with red-sand moleheaps as well
  • Whales
  • Raw and cooked Whale meat
Busy week ahead, so Ill have to wait and see when I can get more work done. Untill then, enjoy this build

Slowly but surely adding more mobs. Todays build contains:
  • Ants
  • Lizards
  • Gekkos
  • Boars
  • Boar meat
  • Boars now can wear saddles, and be ridden. Riding them off a cliff will award you the pigs can fly achievement
Had some problems with water mobs, so they are delayed. But more mobs and items to come tomorrow!

Ok, lets get started:

This is the first LotsOMobs build for Minecraft 1.8. It adds all items related to the deer, and the deer itself. Recipes are the same as in the 1.7.10 version. Currently added features:
  • The deer mob
  • Baby deer
  • Deer sounds
  • Deer Hide
  • Deer Hide armor, and helmet with horns
  • Raw and cooked venison
  • Horn sword
The next update will add more of the forrest animals, like boars, squirrels and bears

LotsOMobs is 3 years old today, and what better way to celebrate than a fresh update, full of new awesome features. Here is the list:
  • Improved underwater vision with Swimming masks
  • Added Flippers

  • Added Oxygen tanks and diving helmets

  • Added Seaweed plants

  • Added Kelp

  • Added Starfish

  • Added Sea Urchins

  • Fixed mob spawn rates

  • Fixed loot in dungeons/pyramids being 90% pineapples

Please send me some feedback on world generation. Im not sure how heavy the seaweed generation is. Ive managed to remove most freezing by decreasing the spawn-rate, but my PC is pretty powerfull so feedback from more people might optimalize it even more!

Last nights update had some horrible errors, that caused it to crash either at launch, or when you reached a large body of water(Oceans, rivers, lakes etc.) This was caused by a wrongly registered water mob. This has now been fixed. So if you downloaded LotsOMobs during the last 24 hours, download version 1.7.10-3.2.1 now to get a playable version, with swimming goggles!

Today I focused a bit on oceans and other water biomes. I added two new mobs: Seahorses and big fish. These swim around and are cute/awesome. 

While underwater you can't see a lot. Therefor I also made swimming goggles. They have respiration II and Aqua infinity II. They come in the colors: Orange, Red, Blue, Green and Yellow.

A very important update!
The previous versions of LotsOMobs all have had the same problem, they crash when installed together with other mods that add a lot of entities. I was unaware of the fact that there was a fix for this untill I got some messages about it a few days ago!

This has now been fixed, and LotsOMobs should again be compatible with all other mods! With the help from: www.jabelarminecraft.blogspot.no/p/creating-custom-entities.html everything has been made perfectly!

This update also contains changes to the spawn eggs. The new registry doesn't support the vanilla spawn eggs, therefor I made custom ones. They can be found in the LotsOMobs Spawn Egg tab. They even have a new design!

So have a lot of fun

Todays update contains:
  • Recoded the NBT for the saltbath and tanningrack. They now save your progress when you close the world/unload the chunk
  • Salt is no longer infinite, you will have to refill the saltbath after every hide
  • The knife now has damage, which is configurable. Default is 100
  • Fixed errors in the lang file(only english)
  • Fixed the messed up butterfly wing textures
  • Whale eyes have been changed
  • And more bugs have been fixed.

1.7.10-3.0.4 includes:

New config options:
- Disable the biomes that LotsOMobs adds in. The mobs will instead spawn in similair vanilla biomes. 
- Disable the two dimensions. This also disables all the items/blocks related to them. The DNA-Extractor and fossil ores are still enabled though, so you can get dinosaurs :D

I recoded the Bison a while ago, but never pushed it. I improved the model a bit. Made a few changes to the texture and gave it a tail. It can now be milked and will drop Leather and beef. It also has sounds. 

I think I fixed some bugs as well, but no big and noticable ones...

No, this is not an update for 1.8... To be honest, I haven't even started looking at 1.8. I simply don't have the time to get started with all the school work. But I did manage to make this update for LotsOMobs!

It contains:
  • Bug fixes (The boring ones)
  • Fixes to many hitbox sized
  • Added new spawn registry to almost all mobs, making them spawn in "More biomes" mods like Biomes O Plenty!
  • Fixed Tropical Beach not having a config option

This weekend was bug fix weekend! I fixed all the bugs that were reported for my mods!
For LotsOMobs, this mainly includes code clean ups and smaller bug fixes. The one you will notice most while playing is the Triceratops no longer barking like a little doggy :)

Hello, first of all sorry about the previous update not resolving the issues with the OP mobs. The update was made in a bit of a hurry since it was in the middle of my exams and I got a lot of reports of it. I didnt test it enough before release. 

Today, I had more time and I recoded the AIs of those mobs. Everything is working now, and I will start on the Christmas special. For now, I also doubled the spawnrate of Santa :D

Today Ive been working hard on getting LotsOMobs to 1.8! This version contains:
- Quite a few of the mobs.
- All items exept for armor
- All overworld biomes

There is a lot to be done to get the mod to 1.8. Each Item needed a json file to work with the new rendering system that Mojang made for 1.8, was not a funny job but its done! Hope you enjoy and please send bug reports to get a working 1.8 version out asap!

I installed the mod, but only have 15 animals? I have each of the mods installed plus the core. Did i do something wrong? None of the blocks/items are showing up either, like the armor. I am in creative so it should all be showing
1.9 != 1.7.10
I want it but it has a virus!!! ='(
Anyone know how to install this on a mac? I'm really confused.

The animals move, extremely, extremely slowly in this mod. They only move foreward one pixel at a time unless pushed and they never fight back or run when attacked not even bears, they just stay stuck in one spot. I uninstalled it because frozen animals just looks silly.
I think there is a bug in my 1.8 AI.... Ill see when I get some time to fix it

I'm not sure if you're still working on the 1.7.10 version but I get the same bug in this version also - the dinosaurs just twirl around on the spot, they never chase you even the ones I presume are supposed to be aggressive like T-Rex. Also when you try to ride a camel they are literally as slow as a snail! Which is a shame, since I love that you made a two-hump camel.

i like the idea , but your mobs are so buggy (i'm talking about aggresive mobs like bears , lions...) ,they don't do like they are supposed to do , they don't attack back or run away 
also some texturesand animations are not very beautifaul  ,  .....     i hope you will make it better and good luck

I have a question.  I am using Minecraft 1.7.10.  I am not switching to 1.8 because I like the tornado mod and that one is not.  So, what I'm aiming to do is to use Mob Properties to make the bunny occasionally be evil and cause damage to the player (after all, it does chase the player down but is harmless).  Is there any special NBT settings or any settings I can use with Mob Properties to do this?

Hey I think this Mod is really awesome but im having issues w/ the part of it that adds in The jungles and Swamp animals is that just because its not ready yet?
Also are the extra dimesions in the modualar version?

They seem to spawn near or in water, and don't swim (much) and don't drown. The ocean areas are teaming with Bison on the ocean floor. :)
I know you are working on 1.8 a lot now days, but would you mind fixing it and releasing a 1.7.10 update, please?
I downloaded the 1.8 version and when i got on the mod it only gave me the limited items on the creative list 
does the 1.8 version not have the full version?

Love this mod, good job :)
But i have to say.. GREAT MOD! :D
For some reason this mod removes sheep in the game and most of the friendly creatures attacks me... Like bunnys and turtles..... And when the turtles attack you lose 2 hearts....

Just checked the code. In 1.7.10 it should be a carrot
Sweet! It worked! I hear the mammoths are rideable as well? Must i tame one first? if so...how?

What version are you using?
Sorry for bothering, but I don’t truly know what is happening. I got this issue before. Well, the thing is…is not truly a crash, but a massive freezing. The game kind of stops…I don’t know what is happening. Nonetheless, does your mod have something to do with it?

How do I install mods?
Step 1: Make a new folder in your Minecraft Folder called Mods.
Step 2:Find the mod/s you like and go to %appdata% in your file explorer or use run.
Step 3: Put the mod/s in the mods folder.
Step 4: Done!

The link to 3.2.0 on your website seems to go to the 3.1.2 file though.
Was because 3.2.0 was really bugged out. Try 3.2.2, has even more features as well :D
