To use, download custom recipes, and put the files in the custom recipes folder, then run minecraft.
Once you have the mod, you can also easily create your own mods. You can look in the text files to see how to make the items. And stuff.
NOTE: If the Custom Recipes Mod hasn't come out yet when you've downloaded this mod keep in mind that they're updating that mod and they also currently have a version for 1.6.4.

I don't wanna install this mod. Minecraft is a challenge. If people even make a mod for horse armor, Minecraft is no longer a challenge. Developers did horse armor in dungeons because they wanna do a challenge. If people make more mods like this. They are noobs, They dont want a challenge, and this is why i also hate noobs. And by the image. It looks like Beta minecraft, Beta is no longer here. I hate mods when it get rids of the challenge

so what? do you just rip out the ore with your bare hands? from stone? and then you put it back together with one coal,diamond,etc? unrealisticaly funny ;)

This kinda defeats the purpose of minecraft. Also, there is a flaw in your system that could allow people to infinitley duplicate items. All you would have to do is enchant a pick with fortune, mine a block to get 2 or more diamonds or the item it gives, turn those into 2 or more ore, place them and then mine again. There are reasons why you're not allowed in vanilla to turn the item back into ore.

i agree with you. Minecraft=Challenge. but since silk touch is a end-game type thing. I just fav the mod. So end game is easier and has a use for silk touch

Listen: if people want to take advantage of various exploits and flaws in a game or a mod, then so be it. This is minecraft. Its a sandbox game. If people want to have as many diamonds as the please, then they can go right ahead. If they think that they won't like this mod, then they just have to not get the mod. All this mod is giving is a simple way for people to change back their items to ore if they don't feel like using NEI or changing to creative mode, its completely their choice whether they want to or not.
This mod cannot defeat the purpose of Minecraft, a game that in its very nature is very manipulable and modable. Telling someone that a mod defeats the purpose of Minecraft is simply ignorant. If you're a hardcore-vanilla minecraft player than that's your choice, however people get mods for the simple reasons of cheating, changing the game entirely, and making it easier to build. Minecraft would be nothing without mods, just remember that.
