Have you ever wanted Magical Crops without having to use a clunky modding API? Well too bad, this isn't Magical Crops, although you can grow diamonds.



This datapack is pretty basic, you start by holding a crafting table in your offhand while standing on top of a dispenser that's facing up. When you do this the dispenser will eat the crafting table and become a custom crafter, you'll be able to tell because it renames the container. Want it gone? Easy, just break the dispenser (although part of it may be covered by an entity hitbox).
Remember, in order to trigger the crafter all players have to be more than 3 blocks away from it, this is to prevent item loss due to crafting mistakes. All the recipes for the seeds are in the image tab, you can craft seeds for coal, iron, gold, lapis, redstone, emeralds, and diamond. once you have this seed you can plant it by holding one (and only one at a time) in your offhand and walking off of or into farmland. Don't worry if you break the plant, you'll get your seed back. Make sure you don't crowd magic melons of the same type too close otherwise there's a chance that you won't get the special produce from your melon. Melons of the same type should be planted 3 blocks apart or more.



Don't want your inventory crowded with melon slices when you harvest your magic melons?

Well there's also a solution to that, make a melon scoop and add it too your axe. All you need to do is craft a melon scoop with three iron nuggets and a melon slice. Once you have the axe you want to add it to all you need to do is put the axe in the middle of the custom crafter and the scoop on top, trigger the crafter and you will be given an axe exactly the same as the one you put in, except it 'has Melon Scoop'. This will prevent melons broken with the axe from dropping melons (if the axe had silk touch) or melon slices.



Diamond and Emerald melons drop 'nuggets' for their respective gems, these can be crafted into diamond or emerald by putting a stack of 9 nuggets (or a stack with a number that is a multiple of 9) into the custom crafter and triggering it (also has recipe image)



Also, don't worry about having trouble telling your melons apart, the stems and melons of magical melons emit colored particles depending on variety.
