I've started development on a function-based Minecraft "mod" I call Pixel Pugilists. The idea behind it is that the player can become a variety of different superheroes. I know this has been done before but I have some of my own ideas I wanted to add to the mod.
Keep in mind that the stuff in this mod that would normally harm your world such as the gamma bomb or the Hulk's ground pound won't damage the world if you have mobGriefing disabled.
Documentation will be released once version 1.0.0 is finished and the mod is out of it's beta state.
Pixel Pugilists is intended to be used with the specified Minecraft version. For the most recent version, look at the name of this post. For past versions, check this out:

Outdated versions
This is the first version of the mod so there's nothing here yet.
Installation guide
- Unzip the downloaded file.
- Open the unzipped file.
- Copy/cut the folder titled 'superheroes' to your clipboard.
- Enter the world files of the world/server you want to install Pixel Pugilists to.
- Open the folder titled 'data'.
- Open the folder titled 'functions'. If there is none, create one.
- Paste the folder titled 'superheroes' into 'functions'.
- Once in-game or in the server console, type '/gamerule gameLoopFunction superheroes:general'.
- Voila!
