My family lived in Sicily for a bit so I've heard that before. Never actually practiced it in my family though. He was actually making it for a Christmas dinner for his coworkers (So my aunt and I didn't get any RIP) Wouldn't wanna make lasagna for breakfast though, like 2 hours for a breakfast food?? yesterday, i was out with my aunt, at her church, (i'm christian, don't @ me.) and i was corralling like, 4 children into a classroom, because i am a den mother, and y'know.
and this guy, one i grew up around, i kid you not, leaned over to my aunt and was like 'yo, how old is she, like 20? she's cute, who is she?' and i'm silently dying laughing, and my f*cking aunt, bless her heart, was like 'that's mikey, she's 16, like, 4 months younger than you, and you're not her type, f*ck off.'
meanwhile,
this guy is now holding his shame and embarrassment inside, obviously in disbelief, approached me and was like, 'yo, how old are you?'
'i'm 16, you heard my aunt, shoo.'
yeah, he avoided me the rest of the service.the hilarious thing is that i think i'm ugly, lol.
okay, maybe I'm exaggerating...the one dude thought i was a boy though,

:D When choosing subject matter for a new building project; the Sky is usually the limit! Anything is possible!
However..... having said that; there are a few Iconic Build Subjects/Items that intimidate the Begeebers out me.
Two in particular stand out as Way Too Hard - Not having Fun - Not Gonna do it!! They being Churches and Castles.
With their rigid archetypes and need for strict adherence to form; these two subjects are daunting and extremely difficult to successfully achieve.
Being entirely distracted by the enchanting Tuscan landscape and its mystical gardens; I seem to have neglected to account for the multitudinous Churches and Castles that litter the Tuscan Landscape. Facepalm! ...Too late now :(
So here goes........

I just started working on some detailing around windows now! I've added the shallowest of buttresses...despite all the advances made by their Renaissance - the Tuscan's just don't do buttresses! They have much less glass in their walls than Northern European Churches, I s'pose.

pps........just wall posted some developments on the Castle. Couldn't help myself. Was having too much fun and made a full blown Castle with chapel and private residence, barracks and stables and 3 gatehouses.....so much for thee fortified dwelling :|Thanks for the compliment :D
I'm still having fun so far....
It's true, getting depth is tough when you are working on a small scale. I also hate adding depth just for depths sake if you know what I mean. I often see lots of builds with lots of depth but it just looks forced and not very realistic, which is why many of my builds are "flat" as I have been told on many occasions. This is where adding other textures can help, but again it needs to make sense and not be done just to do it. I've seen a lot of great builds where randomizing textures works and some that look like someone just threw up minecraft blocks.
For the church, maybe try something around the windows, maybe trapdoors or vertical slabs, or maybe a different stone color or texture. it doesn't need to be much, less is more in this case I think. Maybe you could try some buttresses between the windows, they don't need to be epic cathedral flying buttresses, but maybe simple exterior columns against the wall. -

i climbed a lemon tree, freaked out because my mom decided to “trim” the tree singlehandedly with a saw, broke a water sprinkler system and now have about 1 grocery bag full of lemons and a trash bag full of oranges
