Puzzle Layers is a brand new Minecraft map built for Minecraft 1.8 and any version above. Puzzle Layers brings the main element of puzzle to the table along with a pinch of survival to give the user a unique experience whilst playing! Alot of hard work went into this map so if you do enjoy this map then please feel free to share it with your friends, or even give it a diamond right here on Planet Minecraft :)
Listed below are some of the main rules that you should stick to when playing!

Make sure you have a program such as 7-Zip or WinRaR to open the download!

Rules marked in bold are rules that are needed to ensure that the map works as intended!

1.) Do not use any mods (OR a modded client) that would give you an advantage!
2.) Do not pillar up to the next layer.
3.) Do not kill yourself for health!
4.) Only break blocks that are necessary!
5.) Make sure PVP is turned OFF.
6.) This map is recommended for two players but can be played by one person.
7.) Make sure command blocks ARE ENABLED.
8.) DO NOT play this map on anything below Minecraft 1.8. IT WILL BREAK THE MAP!!

Some major and long awaited bug fixes:

*Fixed player spawning on first join.
*Fixed layer spawnpoints - made them automatic.
*Changed hints into books.
*Fixed not being able to re-collect string ingredient.
*Fixed not being able to re-collect wood ingredient.
*Upgraded timer to be more advanced.
*Added barriers to tutorial area.
*Complete overhaul of map mechanics and redstone.
*Fixed bow dissapearing from players inventory.
*Fixed keep inventory on all layers.
*Fixed tile drops.
*Added forced tutorial.

Excuse me, but when i was playing i got to layer five and finally, after an hour and a half, figured out your hint. (very clever by the way) anyways, once i finished that and placed the redstone block on the totem, it transported me back to layer one instead of up to layer 6. i have no idea whether that was intended or not but, but after i collected the string like told and trying to press the thing in chat, it said i didn't have permission to use that command... i was only wondering if that's fixable because i was attemtping to do a let's play of your map

I think I understand the problem. In order to use the command that it runs when you click the message in chat, you would need to be OP on a server. A way around this would be pressing the esc key, open to LAN and allow cheats. This should work for now, until we work on a fix :)

Thank you. i am going to have to redownload it but now i can finish my playthrough of your map. i am also planning on doing the second one as well. are there any bugs in the second one i should watch out for?

The second one is a very big improvement, you'll enjoy it. There aren't anymore bugs on it that we are aware of. We've tested the new map thoroughly and have fixed recently reported bugs :) All should be good.

ok so i just finished my play through of Puzzle Layers 2. you guys made an awesome map! it had me stumped for a long time. but i dont know if i broke it somehow or what but when i got to the corruption, it kept saying the previous totem was cleared and would clear my inventory, making me unable to complete the quests given to me, and sometimes not even being able to read them. not complaining, like i said, great map, but i just wanna know if i somehow messed something up or if this is a common problem

Hey butterman59, I am the redstoner for the map. I'm trying to figure out the bug but it's very hard without other clues. Could you give me a way of replicating the bug? That way I can fix the issue. All I need is a step by step list of what you did after layer 9. Thanks for playing our maps!

I was playing earlier, had to leave for work and when i came back (even on the same profile was respawned a level lower then when i left and can not use the set spawn and had to replace it with a new file to begin again, what do I do if this happens again?)

How do I get pass the level with all the quartz blocks and the enchanting table? I can't break the enchanting table with the stone pickaxe that I have.

So far the map is really entertaining.
