I started working on Scavanna’s Sphere about eleven or twelve years ago, putting in maybe a few hours each week. The original idea was simple: a single-biome dungeon set inside a massive sphere. At the time, creating something on this scale was novel, and I was excited to see how far I could take it.
Over the years, I kept returning to the project, adding new biomes and features whenever Minecraft updates sparked fresh ideas. Sometimes I’d take long breaks, but I always came back. Working on it solo gave the map a consistent style, and I think that shows. Once I ran out of room inside the sphere, I focused on making every view a vista, filling the map with as much detail and discovery as possible.
This 2024 version is more of a reupload, not a complete overhaul. It still holds the spirit of the original, a map built slowly and deliberately over more than a decade. I think it accomplishes what I set out to do—a place that feels alive, filled with secrets to uncover and challenges to overcome.
