(THIS REQUIRES 12w40a SNAPSHOT, OR ELSE THE LORE TEXT WON'T SHOW UP (You can still import them into your world though))
(THIS IS A WORK-IN-PROGRESS, MEANING IT'S ONGOING AND NOT COMPLETE. ONCE YOU'RE FINISHED READING, FEEL FREE TO GIVE ME SUGGESTIONS)
(You are free to use these weapons in whatever server/adventure map/etc you're creating for upload. Just credit me, alright?)
Creating an adventure map? An RPG server perhaps? Or maybe you just want some variety in your game.
But alas, Minecraft has only six different flavors of weapons. Wooden Swords, Stone Swords, Iron Swords, Gold Swords, Diamond Swords, or Bows. You suppose you can add some enchantments. But it's still such a disappointing pick.
Well, if you're going to have such a small flavor of weapons. Why not have them with awesome mccool names like "Draconis" with pretty colored text and background lore? Yeah. This schematic implements a variety of different colored/named weapons to be implemented into your map or server. Once again, this is vanilla Mincraft. So servers/adventure maps can use them perfectly fine. No mods at all.

This ongoing project currently adds 86 (though, technically 36) named magical weapons (once again. NOT A MOD. These are for vanilla Minecraft, although they can be used with mods of course). A good portion of them have lore attached. And they're all divided into 5 (+1) color-coded tiers for your convenience. I plan to add as many as I can possibly fit. These tiers are...
Legendary - Mostly overpowered weapons meant to be used in PvP environments (strategy killing)
Exquisite - Not overpowered, but quite powerful.
Rare - Nicely enchanted weapons that'll certainly hurt someone.
Uncommon - Basic enchanted weaponry that have no lore text, but do have a unique name.
Special - Utility tools/weapons that aren't meant to be used as weapons, but as functional tools (unbreakable spleef shovels/etc)
D&D - 50 weapons with a D&D "flavor". All of them have sharpness effects and are named like "Diamond Sword +3", and their level of sharpness reflects the number.
I'll come up with a full list of all named weapons later.
If you have any suggestions for weapons, let me know. I'll probably add them to the project.

Added a world save download, but it's superflat. Highly recommend the schematic if you intend to use them for servers/maps/whatever.

It can be used perfectly fine in a non-modded vanilla Minecraft so long as you're using snapshot 12w40a and up.
