This is out of date and will not work in Minecraft 1.9. A newer and improved version is available on my page that has more features and if made for 1.9! =D
Leap from tree to tree collecting coconuts as if you were a monkey in this Vanilla One Command mod that adds coconuts to your minecraft world! To get the command, click on "Minecraft World Save" for the text file, or here is the pastebin.
Details:
-Break several oak, jungle, spruce, or birch leaves in survival mode to get a coconut!
-Plant a coconut by tossing it underneath a leaf block
-Right click a full grown coconut to harvest it. (You may have to get close to it to successfully harvest.)
-Toss coconuts at shears to cut open the top to get an open coconut!
-Place open coconuts in final slot of your hotbar, then look directly up for a few seconds to eat. Coconuts take about three seconds to eat. This is longer than other foods because of its hard shell. Coconuts fill one hunger pop.
-Toss a coconut and a bucket together in the same spot to make Coconut Milk!
-Drink coconut milk the same as regular milk.
-Coconut Milk gives you 15 seconds of haste and jump boost 2 (So you can jump up high to collect your coconuts). Along with filly 1.5 hunger pops.
-Break the leaves that the coconut is planted into in order to remove the coconut plant. (This keeps the device from causing large lag.)
-Young (green) coconuts cannot be harvested until full grown.
-You can safely place coconuts like a block for decoration, and break them to pick up.
-Sheep will eat dropped coconuts which will make the sheep turn brown and grow its wool.
-Multiplayer friendly.
-100% Compatible with my Strawberries, Lettuce/Tomatoes, and Corn creations. I highly recommend you use all four of them for a greater experience.

3. Copy the command from the .txt file or Pastebin.
4. Use Ctr+V (or Cmd+V on Macs) to paste the command into the command block.
5. Power it with a button or other activator on the sider of the block. Not on top!
6. The box will be created, and you are all set to play in survival mode with coconuts!

-To eat a coconut now, you must first open it.
-To open a coconut, you need to toss it at shears on the ground.
-Fixed the duplication glitch that happened when you tossed a coconut 2 blocks up. So now this is completely working and great to use in your worlds.
