Hey, I'm not dead! Well that's a relief. Well, to everyone who's been by my side with this, THANK YOU.
Thank you for getting me to this point. More than a year ago, I would never have imagined gaining over 100 Subs on this site. From starting off small to getting to this point - wow. Thanks everyone. And I'm sorry I've been inactive for a while, school's been a real bugger. Well that's enough talk, here's a "brief" description on the submission.
Well, I'm back with more 20th Century work. This time, it's an actual skyscraper, not some office building. And it's a new attempt a different style of architecture. The tower itself is the bank headquarters of the city on my project, and no this isn't a real building. It is heavily based on two of Manhattan's greatest, (but now basically destroyed) buildings.
The facade itself was based on the now destroyed City Investing Building, and the main portion of the tower was based heavily on the now reconstructed and billboard-filled One Times Square.
I didn't expect the building to come out like this, as with everything else I make is pretty much a test. The result was great, but I still need to add some roofing detail. A grand lobby also needs to be done, but the main entrance and the four side entrances are all done. The skyscraper is adjacent to the "El" station to the south, allowing for commuters to easily travel to the Bank.
I think that's all there is to say (for now), so yeah! Links to what I needed to make this are below, and once again, thank you everyone for helping me reach this milestone. Take care!
