Its 1966. You're a young college kid in a small mill town, with a skyline dominated by Blast Furnaces and Flue Stacks. A job opened up at the mill, labeled "AC Powerhouse Dayshift". You take it and start your first day at work.
Lore/Story aside, this is a loose re-imagining of the Carrie Furnaces in Rankin, PA. The Cathleen Furnaces are six mighty (And modernized) sisters that have been here as long as the railroads. This map is intended to replicate the look and atmosphere of a late 60s - early 70s steel plant, with nearly all steelmaking processes shown in one way or another. The biggest attraction would most likely be the Basic Oxygen Furnace + Continuous Caster on the South end of the plant. There's plenty of Auxiliary buildings, sheds, offices and more waiting to be explored! (There's also a shit ton of Easter eggs)

AS OF 4/9/25 MEIRTON HAS BEEN ABANDONED PERMANENTLY (Sorta)
I have some plans for what I will do with the concept of the Meirton Works in the next year or so but until Carrie '55 is out don't expect this page to change much. For Carrie Updates please check my Flickr Page at here, as I will be updating it with some more updated pictures today. (Every single one on there currently is outdated)
