270 Park Avenue is a 52-story 216-meter-tall Modernist-styled office skyscraper, designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and built in 1957-1960.
Originally built for the Union Carbide Corporation in 1960, the building did not last long with the status of the company's headquarters. In 1975 the building was sold to Union Trust Company that was later merged into the rapidly-growing Citrus Bank PLC in 1979.
Today the building is still owned and actively used by Citrus Bank and is the company's Eastern division headquarters.
This building has full interior done and upgraded with the original interiors, making the building look exactly like it did in 1960 with only minor visual changes (excluding the CT&T antenna on the roof). Even though in real life the building is already demolished, in this New York City it is still actively used, which is why new HVAC equipment was installed. New uquipment uses much less space on the roof, which also makes it look closer to the brand-new state.
If you like the build, please visit the main city page. Thank you.
Building time: 8 hours. The building time includes the build planning.
