I'm back!

32-gun Frigate "Vengeance"

The Vengeance is a 32-gun naval frigate, designed primarily to wreak havoc on pirates and brutally slay unsuspecting merchantmen. Her employers so far have enjoyed this design greatly thus far, making her one of the more popular designs in our "Fleet" of ships in the catalog. This beautiful frigate features attractive hull lines which complement her compact rigging, making her popular amongst aspiring captains and scheming pirates as not only a very reliable and trustworthy ship, but an attractive one as well. Though captains who like larger and more luxurious compartmentalization may prefer other ships, her performance ratings make her somewhat cramped interior worth it.

The Vengeance was designed for the Spanish Navy as their primary naval vessel before the start of our server, The New World- and already some other players have asked to create new hull color schemes for them in advance! The Spanish requested a fairly lightly-armed frigate that could out-run or outmaneuver ships larger than her and chase down/destroy ships smaller than it. The Vengeance, when she begins her epic journey through the Caribbean should meet these requirements. I consider this one of my best frigate designs so far!

Basic Statistics:
Keel Length: 29 Blocks
True Length: 31 Blocks
Max. Width: 11 Blocks

# of Sail: x8 square, x3 jib, x6 jib-stays

Movecraft Rating: Class 4/8

If you wish to use this in a multiplayer environment or post this anywhere, please remember that I built this and mark your post/copy accordingly. Thank you.

I strongly recommend using a rustic resource pack! Here, I used Conquest:

The "Vengeance" is in "player scale"- a term I've coined to describe the building scale me and my fellow builders use to build our ships, and something that I think the majority of ships in our minecraft communities do not possess. PS ships are designed not only to uphold an aesthetic appeal, but to also to serve a purpose as a vehicle; a home and a piece of property for a player- or perhaps something survival/adventure maps could use. Ships in this scale are designed specifically to meet the needs of players who use them; no large ceilings, no sprawling 1.1 scale ships.

However, it has it's own unique charm to it. The thing that motivates me the most in building these ships is the knowledge that my ships will not just serve as an aesthetic masterpiece- but as a true ship sailing the seas, engaging in the art of naval warfare and exploring new lands in the name of empire. And that is why I build for The New World- and why I hope that player-scale ships become more commonplace in the minecraft community.
I’m back to post more ships for the new server, TNW! Stay tuned for some more, including some fancy ketches and a few     ships of the line!

Not a bad idea... I experimented with it a few months back, but found it a bit taxing on system performance and rendering. I think I'll try that again though, perhaps for cinematic purposes?

You can always try out the biome specific metas, Sagi. I know those still work in 1.8

Oops! I accidentally double-posted this instead of editing to add pictures! Will fix that now.

Edit: Fixed now. Enjoy!
