A 3D Printer in Minecraft which allows you to print objects straight from your inventory anywhere you want! You are not limited to using specific blocks and you can pick any block type. It prints a 4x1x4 area next to you, but since you can print anywhere, that is not going to be an issue. You can easily expand that into 16x8x16 or even 256x256x256 by just moving around a few blocks!

I was inspired by many different 3D printers. None of them had the option of using custom blocks and printing anywhere, so I tried to work on that. A lot of them were complicated as well, so I was trying to think of a simple, yet effective way to do this. And after a few hours of thinking and working, I made this :)

Good job on not just using a chest or something to put the items into with a huge sorter. I've seen all to many of those, and its really nice to see someone actually build one that can go anywhere :)

I'm assuming it runs on /testfor with a specific inventory slot, and then executes a clone command to place the right block?

That is correct!

And by the way, it can also print in any blocks :) You could print with slabs, or even make a garden with grass, flowers, bushes and trees.
