About:
This is the HMS Red Legion, it is a custom built item sorter built from the ground up to fit within the ship. The ship features a roughly four million item capacity (roughly 400 unique itmes). The server that this was built on has clear lag enabled so it does use pistons instead of water streams, however the hoppers have all been optimized with composters. The boat also features a scaled down redesign of Ilmangos perfect super smelter (Though not as fast as the origonal, it had to be scaled down to fit in the back of the ship, but it is still plenty fast enough for 90% of people). The item sorter has 2 modes of input; you can either directly insert items into the chests on the floor located in the back of the ship, or you can insert your shulker into shulker unloader which has a shulker return built into it (Empty shulkers do not break it!). Even with a 400 item capacity, there are still items that are bound to be left out, or can not be sorted, so to compenstate for that, there is a manual proceduraly sorted labled chest room that should acomidate all items that can not be sorted. If there is a certain item you expect to get alot of (more then 2 double chests), there are several item silos located on the bottom deck of the ship that hold significantly more. If you insert an item that can not be sorted, it will be put in the dump chest on the bottom deck. There are two captain sweets located at the bow of the ship, a meeting room, maintnence halls for all redstone devices, a nether portal, crew quaters, a bar, and more.
Building:
If you value your sanity, a tree farm and a wool farm, and iron farm are manditory pre requisites if you are serious about building this.
The ship is mainly made up of spruce, dark oak, red/white wool, and lots and lots and lots of chests.(some where in the ball park of 3500 chests)
I have provided a litematic file to assist in building, as well as a world download so you can preview and make changes to the build.
It is also worth noting that the Item sorter does not com pre configured, however it does come with example ideas in the item frame.
Configuration:
You will need to configure the entirety of the item sorter by hand. To do so, find the sorter you want to fonfigure and go behind it. You will then want to find the hopper that faces into the comparitor. Next you will want to fill the last 4 slots of that hopper with a filter item. To make a filter item, find an item you have in surplus and take it to an anvil and rename it to keyboard spam. Once you have inserted the 4 filter in the last 4 slots, insert 41 or more of the item you want to sort. (technicly you only need one, but it wont empty into the chest until you reach 41 items). Do not use the sorter untill all hoppers facing the comparitors are filled with filters and the items you wish to sort. (you can also just fill them with 5 filters across all slots until you are ready to configure that filter)

About Lag:
Im not going to sugercoat it, this build is laggy. If you have a good pc or even a mid ranged laptop it should be fine, but it has crashed other members on the server I play on just by being in proximity to it. Idealy, i would redesign it to use water streams to remove alot of hoppers, but that was not an option for me. Regardless, you probably want to avoid building this next to spawn, or other laggy builds and farms. I was origonaly going to make the battle deck a trading hall too, but decided against it due to the frame hit I was already getting.
