The Island of Aceris (1.18.2 and higher)
Aceris is an island about 3,500 blocks away from the western coast of Veridis. The island is very far south, about 12,500 blocks south of the equator, and is in the subarctic zone of the world. Most of the island is covered in snow.
The north end of the island is a bit warmer. There are gravel beaches, fir and pine trees, rivers and lakes. There is also a large volcano on the north-western side of the island.
The southern half of the island is colder. There are tons of mountains, glaciers, and giant ice caverns.

I am working on all of this in one world and just exporting certain areas. This is a very large and extensive world painter project.
There are almost 200 custom layers and terrain composites and as you may already know, the world is just under 50K blocks in diameter. This takes a lot of computing power and it's required me to get some substantial upgrades for my PC over time. Doing worlds this large requires a new CPU with at least 6 cores, but 8 or more is preferred. Most importantly, it takes a lot of memory. I recently upgraded to 96GB of ram because this project takes over 64GB when I'm working on it.
So if you wanted to do very large worlds (20K or larger) with a lot of detail, just keep in mind that you will need to invest in your CPU and RAM eventually.
