A Light in the Distance is a 1-2 player adventure map based in beautiful Sweetpine National Park - a region notorious for a number of peculiar occurrences, from UFO sightings to paranormal abductions. It is also the first adventure map I've made, so be nice!
The map has:
- Puzzles! Some original, but most have been done before.
- Checkpoints! If you die, you won't have to start the whole map again, just look for the checkpoints...
- Epic battles! You'll have to fight off hoards of monsters, which is always nice. *Some spawners might be broken*
- Creepy storyline! Remember to read the notes!
- 2 hidden side stories! Interesting, and worth the extra effort! ( )
- Treasure system! Find the various treasure chests and collect diamonds to increase your score. Look for redstone torches for possible locations of treasure.
The map was an idea that me - MacklinB - and Tri2Escape developed in many many boring maths classes. It was built by us in about a month and a bit over the top of a world generation "Built and Gone" by Scorpionza. According to the game clock, I spent exactly 365 minecraft days (1 Minecraft Year) making the map, which is 7280 minutes in real time, which can be converted to around 121.3 reoccurring hours - which is around 5 and half days straight. Sounds about righto¦
It'll take more than 1 hour to play through it, without finding all the treasure chests that is. If you want to find all the treasure it'll probably take more than 2 hours. Any feedback, comments, problems and criticism will be muchly appreciated!
Please, if you find any bugs, broken puzzles, issues with the notes (there might be some problems with .txt compatibility between TextEdit and Notepad) post it as soon as possible so that I can fix it.
