A command block concept that spawns a tree next to players that are AFK on a server. Chopping a log out of the tree is going to kill the AFK player, as the tree is meant to be "connected" with the player ;)

There are many effects that you can add to this (particle command, setblock, clone, fill, summon etc.). The tree is just an example. I'll leave it for other people so they can create their own effects.
