The Airbus A220, originally Bombardier CSeries, is a civil airliner designed by Canadian aircraft manufacturer Bombardier Aerospace and entered commercial service on July 15, 20161. The series consists of two models: the 110-seat BD-500-1A102 (CS100) and the 135-seat BD-500-1A11 (CS300). Bombardier's original goal was to expand its CRJ regional jet line to include aircraft with more than 100 seats to compete with smaller models from Boeing and Airbus.
