These are my first Japanese Destroyer.

The Imperial Japanese Navy thought about AA support when Pacific war was start.

They thought rebuilding old crusier into AA support crusier was too inefficient

So thay planned Akizuki class.

In some degree, this have quite better AA ability than other IJN ships

But this class had problem like this

-there was no AP shell for 10cm-AA gun
-Endurance of 10cm-AA gun was suck.
-Due to radar and fire-control system, effective range of Its AA was short.
-Perpose of this class was anti-air but, IJN HQ insisted to equip torpedo. this caused critical issue about durability.
 in reality, most of Akizuki class was destroyed by Explosion of Torpedo

Moreover, IJN used this class usually went into Torpedo Battle and antiship mission not a AA support.

This class had some possibility. but User and opponent were so bad.
