Altstädter Markt (Old town's Market) was the central square of the old town are of Hanau, Germany. It was filled with Timber framed buildings most of which timber framing has been exposed by the National Socialists shortly before the destruction of the town, due to renovation processes, hence giving it all a pretty clean apperance.
On this square both the oldest aswell as the second oldest town hall is located.
It was compeltely demolished during the RAF's Attacks aiming on the population center of Hanau, rather than its Military relevant targets.
It connects to: Graf Philipp Ludwig Straße, Tiefegasse, Marienkirchgasse, Metzgerstraße, Marktstraße.
