An-124 (proper name: "Ruslan" ; OKB and MAP code: Product 400 ; NATO codification : " Condor " ) is a heavy transport aircraft ^{[ 6 ]} developed by the O.K. Antonov Design Bureau .

Serial production was carried out at UAPC ( RSFSR ) and KiAPO ( UkrSSR ). More than a hundred enterprises participated in the production of components for it in the USSR ^{[ 7 ]} . After the collapse of the USSR and the cessation of serial production, both plants were left with a reserve, which had been completed in the post-Soviet period. Attempts were made to resume full-scale production, but they were unsuccessful.
