The Aon Centre, known originally as the United California Bank Building, and later renamed a couple of times, was built in 1973 by Charles Luckman, famous for designing the Madison Square Garden among many other notable buildings in United States. At the time of being built, it was the tallest building in Los Angeles, and the tallest building west of the Mississippi River, at 260m (860 ft.). It is styled with a modernist language, keeping in line with a lot of Luckman's work.

Dimensions: 27 x37 x 229

I've seen this one from the Bonaventure Hotel (You should make that building too!) It's an interesting building. It's so thin but so tall.

Indeed it is, very challenging engineering wise. I may try my hand at the Bonaventure Hotel, though it's a shame i can't get it's elevators to work in Minecraft. That would be quite amazing

Not the most demanding design, but still looks good!

You're right, it isn't the hardest design, but there is a reason behind making this building. I'm doing a minor series in Los Angeles buildings just as a reflection of my thesis, and as a study of these buildings, as I'll be modeling these in a physical model sometime in the next couple of months

Yeah the choice of the city was quite obvious to me as I follow your blog post. I guess you will make some more of those, but focusing mostly on modern buildings or some other styles too?
