Happy 10th Birthday, Assassin of Steve! To celebrate, I have created a 10th Birthday Edition that increases the spawn rate of all mobs by 10x!
It is recommended that you play this edition with a large multiplayer group and with a decent amount of RAM! (I had minimal problems playing on an 8GB RAM server)


Steve has been assassinated! Your mission is to defeat the Assassin, but he flees to hazardous locations home to evil monsters...
This is my first adventure map that was originally published back in March 2014 for Minecraft 1.7. It has since been updated to later versions 1.8, then 1.9, and now settling on 1.10. During its time this map has amassed over 50,000 downloads across all sites. It is still a great challenge to play if you want to have a great adventure with lots of mob slaying and boss fighting whether solo or with friends.

Using the custom music resource pack:
You can download the optional music resource pack here.
It has custom music which can be turned on and off with the setting labelled 'Custom Music' in the Music and Sound options in your options. It is not required you use the resource pack with the custom music, however it is recommended as it adds to the atmosphere and adventure of the map. You must turn off 'Vanilla Music' if you have Custom Music on so they don't overlap.

Important settings:
You can play with 1-4 players. When opening to LAN, set gamemode to Adventure and cheats to OFF.
When using a server enable command blocks.
In the Video Settings set your render distance to 9 chunks (very important setting - the map will bug if not adhered), and we recommend setting brightness to bright. Set GUI scale to Normal. Not Large or Auto. Do anything else you can to reduce lag, especially if you have a slow computer.
