The Assassin of Steve has escaped once again, with the Squiggly Replic, and a plot to end the world. You and a collection of allies, both old, new and unexpected, are the only ones who can stop him from bringing about Endergeddon. In your quest you must discover the way to enter the Assassin's domain so you can stop him while being relentlessly hunted by fleets of End Ships. But when you discover the true nature of the Assassin's plans, Minecraft will never be the same again.

This is the epic conclusion to the Assassin of Steve trilogy, the first two maps having collectively gained over 60,000 downloads. A year and a half's work went into creating this map.

Notable features:
- Heavily customized mobs and loot tables.
Assassin of Steve 3 was built from the ground up supporting loot tables, and contains a much more diverse amount of weapons you can obtain and armor sets with varying different attributes for different play-styles. The resource pack grants over 100 different 3D weapons in total that range from custom swords to bows, as well as axes, maces, daggers, scythes, guns, rocket launchers, tridents (not throwable, unfortunately...) and much more!

- Difficulty setting.
A returning feature from the first two maps, you can choose from three difficulties - easy, normal, and hard, which affect how strong mobs are, and also difficulty will increase in multiplayer as groups of mobs get larger.

- Incredible challenges, puzzles and boss fights.
Across Assassin of Steve 3's fifteen missions you can battle it out in over twenty unique and original boss fights and against waves of mobs in arenas. To shake things up a bit there are also simple puzzles and parkour.

- Epic music from a variety of different royalty free music providers.
Ideal for bringing a perfect atmosphere to the map!

- XP Shops, Consumables, Legendary Boxes and Runes.
XP shops return from the first two maps, but you can also unlock special consumables by finding and completing Hidden Missions, and also rarely find Legendary Boxes to gain some epic loot, and unlock Runes to give yourself some game-changing special powers.


Players: 1-4
Gameplay time: 16-20 hours.
Minecraft versions: 1.11.2

Do not play on 1.12 or higher! If you do play on 1.12 an in-game security measure will prevent you from playing.

Feel free to play Assassin of Steve 1 and Assassin of Steve 2: The Tribal Snouts if you wish, however it is not required (at the start you can read a book that explains everything that happened in the first two maps).


Using the custom resource pack:
If you are in singleplayer it will load automatically, however in multiplayer everyone (except for the host if playing by LAN) will need to download the resource pack here.

If you want to play with custom music on download this pack. Warning: It is nearly half a gigabyte in size, so it may take a while to download.

1.2 Update (One-year anniversary update) : 12/01/2018 4:51:38 pmDec 1st, 2018

- Added Baby Sand Monsters, which spawn in place of some Sand Twisters in the boss fight, and also sometimes in the Fringe. Baby Sand Monsters were petitioned to be added by the community.
- Added new chair-weapons to many missions and every hidden mission. They drop very, very rarely from rare mobs unless a special cheat code is used, which makes them far more common for the purpose of chair-only playthroughs.
- The chair-weapons are: Wooden Stool, Cowboy Stool, Mesa Stool, Cactus Stool, Green Ender Hoverchair, Chair of Light, Steampunk Armchair, Golden Throne, Gem Studded Armchair, Pharaoh's Throne, Electric Chair, Distorted Chair, Cave's Gaming Chair, Blaze's Gaming Chair, Dragon Cushion.
- Added some other new weapons to fill out the legendary weapon loot tables:
- The new weapons are: Cyclone Wand, Pumpkin Mace, Grave Blade, Sickle of Light, Abestos Shield, Clock Hammer, Crystal Wand, Purpur Greatsword, Sun and the Pyramid Shield, and Dagger of Greek Fire.
- Spruced up the town of Moostern a bit so the buildings all look less just like giant cubes.
- All dagger and scythe weapons are now spam-clickable, however ones that previously weren't have had their base damage slightly reduced.
- Increased the damage of bows in the mid and late game to be more in line with axe-weapons.
- Mobs in Hidden Missions 1, 2 and 4 can now drop steak, potions and xp bottles.
- Fixed one of the items being displayed in Moostern's general store being the Gravity Device.
- Attempted to fix the final cutscene in Mission 4 sometimes glitching and leaving the player trapped in spectator.
- Fixed an exploit where it was possible to get no points on the secret Maze Code using the Gravity device.
- Fixed there being a hole in the ceiling of the maintenance tunnel at the end of Mission 6.
- Fixed the Solid Gold Helmet not giving any stats when worn.
- Fixed the Golden Edge, Golden Pick, Dwarven Hammer and Necro Staff not having "Part of ____ Equipment" in bold text (Thanks BlackBird_6).
- Fixed being able to go around some of the force fields projected by Blue End Fighters in Mission 11 (Thanks Superman4252).
- Fixed being able to skip the forest parkour in the Fringe by elytra-ing to the water flowing down from the snow area by blocking off the water (Thank you very much BlackBird_6 ;P).
- Fixed being able to skip collecting Fringe Dead Bushes by elytra-ing through a 1-block high gap in the barriers where lava flows through (Thanks again :D)
- Removed an unused chest on the Yellow Ender Island in Mission 14.
- Made something hazardous at the top of the pyramid...

What part of the fight did you get up to? The bit in the tunnels or the bit in the wide-open area?

In the tunnels I believe. To give a bit more description the mission objective was to use tnt to cause damage using the cave miner

It went in a puff of white smoke - typical of most movable that die - and after I still had the same mission. I never got a confirmation that it was conpleted.

Hello I have a problem I put the map on a server (host: omgserv) and all the boxes are empty we are 2 to play the map and we would like to settle the worries of the chest how should you do it?

How many people are playing on your server?
We're aware some server hosts have problems loading loot tables into the world so that might be the problem. Another possibliity is that you imported the world into the server incorrectly

We play two players on the server and to add the map I try two method I put them in filezilla or otherwise via my host who offers maps "community" already installed on the server

what's lore books XD??
I found a problem with grapling hook. When I try to use it to catch the tripwire hooks but when I catch them the grapling hook doesn't pull me up. I am using version 1.0.3 of the map

Odd, it should work... Which grappling hook is it not working on? Is it the first one you encounter in the map or is it one later on?
Try aiming slightly above the grappling hook. If worst comes to worst just keep using creative or spectator mode to fly up to the grappling hook.
I will download the newest version cause I was reinstalling minecraft and I forgot to get that save back

Got back into the map after 1 month and.... EVERYTHING WORKS FINE!!!!!! I am so happy to play this map. Already started mission 4 and done first hidden.

I nearly finished the map, but the last cutscene didn't do anything after the last line. Am I supposed to be trapped in a box, or is there more?

Because if so, that's anticlimactic after a section of epic boss fights xD

'Killers' by Kevin MacLeod is the music that plays when you fight the Assassin in the mesa in Mission 3.

Oh yes and I still have a problem .... I finished the map more seriously thank you thank you thank you for helping me during these bugs. Thank you for this adventure on Assassin of Steve III. I will not spoiler anything you do not frankly I love your three map that took you crazy! Frankly play well it was a great map hope you do not miss anything! : D

Hello and sorry for all the problems that I meet at mission 14 in the arena of Yellow Ender Captain I'm at the end of the Enderman at 4 I think the problem is that it remains 1 Mobs Remaining but the enderman teleport and I can not kill him :( I am extremely sorry for the inconvenience

If a wave isn't progressing type in
/kill @e[tag=yellow_wave]
This will kill all mobs that are being counted as part of the wave no matter where they are and then progress to the next wave.
I found a bug that might be related only to multiplayer. When I start the map without beating AoS 2 I have empty Loot Boxes, Reward Boxes and The map can't progress

If you put the world on a server make sure not to delete the loot tables, and also make sure you're not on 1.12 - only 1.11.2!

Also, how many players are you playing with? The map is designed to work with up to 4 players, but if you play with more it may glitch.
I am playing solo (too weak PC to play without server) and I didn't do anything with files. Server is on version 1.11.2.

What type of server hosting are you using? (e.g. Spigot, etc...) It is possible that the one you are using is causing the problems.
I am so mad. I can't play because:
-it is too laggy to play on my PC
-or the server have problems with loot tables.
Do you know any good site that can host servers for free beside two i mentioned earlier?

The loot tables for the map are... for the map, and the ones for minecraft disable some of the vanilla loot tables. For example, it disables slime loot tables because when killing tiny slimes, even if a command block was constantly giving them an empty loot table, occasionally slimeballs would still drop.

Have you tried installing Optifine? Also try turning down some of your settings, e.g. you can turn render distance all the way down to 6 chunks and the map will still work. Also turn down mipmap levels, smooth lighting off, and other things.
Maybe you know where I can download Optifine Light cause I can only find Ultra ones that kick my computer in the face

Unfortunately it appears that they stopped developing the Light version on Minecraft version 1.7.10.
If you haven't already, try turning down all your settings to their minimum in vanilla Minecraft and see if that works.
If it doesn't... unfortunately, the only solution might just be to play on a better computer.
Also, Assassin of Steve 1 and 2 may be less intensive on your computer so if you haven't played them yet feel free to do so.
I played those maps. I finished first map. I stopped playing 2nd map while I was on 9th mission

We recently put out a patch for Assassin of Steve 2 that makes Mission 9 much easier, if you stopped playing it because it was too hard.
Optifine don't make any difference. Tried so many times

Just tried the map on Singleplayer. Loot tables work just as fine. But the map is laggy as hell
Nope same problem on aternos.org's server. When I was looking through the files I saw that loot tables have 2 ...you know... loot tables: one for the map and second for the minecraft. Maybe that's the issue? BTW I didn't touch that folder and files in it in any way
I am using normal vanilla server using a site called server.pro
I will playing that on server from aternos.org site to see if this glitch is only on server.pro site

I found the bug with hidden mission 4 where it tps you again and again. I found a command block with this command: /tp @p[x=1750,y=52,z=1765,m=2] 1750 71 1703 180 0. Once I broke it, the bug stopped. I'm not a redstone maniac so I don't know what it means, but I found the problem at least. Could you fix it?

Yes.
We are taking a break from mapmaking for now, so it might be a while until we start really getting into The Next Map. We're also kind of waiting until 1.13 comes out due to all the command changes, but we have it mostly planned out, and have started a few bits and pieces of build work.

Well I have a problem back to mission 14 we have 3 choices one can go beat the green captain another yellow captain and then the blue captain. However i am tp in the void can you give me the tp coordinates of the green city please

Oh, you have to be in the end dimension and then enter in those coordinates.
Use this command to place an end portal block beneath you:
/setblock ~ ~ ~ minecraft:end_portal
Then you should end up on the island where you beat the ender dragon. (Pun totally not intended :P)
If not, just type in the above command again.

Hi..I have completed ASOS3, and I have something to tell you, the creators have created the ASOS map trilogy, throughout the process from the beginning of part 1 and 2 (in 2016 ... I do not have video recording because I did not do Youtuber at that time) and now it's part 3, I'm very impressed with the plot, mobs, items, bosses .... the cut scenes .... the buildings ... Each mission gave me different emotional levels :D. To tell the truth, these are the best maps I've ever played in Minecraft and the ones you created in minecraft are great too (like BlazeandCave's Advancements Pack). I love you guys, hope you can make more maps like this. And finally, thank you BlazeAndCave and thank you all for your help :D!

After beating Ancient Uivvah, a cut-scene showing lots of ships at the distorted caves started, but did not work. I thought it was lag at first, but in survival blocks broke fine, mobs were not lagging. I tried going back and finding the command blocks in spectator/creative to see if i knew a solution, but I could not find them.

Type in these commands to start the cutscene:
/scoreboard players set @a CameraID 1096
/scoreboard players set @a step 0
If that doesn't work just teleport to these coordinates - the next section of the map - and switch back to adventure mode.
/tp @a 1602 64 1566 0 180

Thanks, the cut-scene did not work but the TP worked. I ended up having another problem with the virus towers that the blue ender ship put down on the village they were hovering over, but i was able to fix that myself. Though after beating the blue ender captain, i got the same glitch causing the cut-scene to stop..

Also if you're using Assassin of Steve 3 version 1.0.3, in the Read Me document there is a list of coordinates to teleport to if you run into this problem again in a later mission.

I got the same problem after beating the Distorted Monstrosity. But there is no TP to start mission 13 in the read me, only the boss of it

I have NO idea how this happend.. but the whole game broke, all gamerules were reset, our inventories were cleared and we were teleported to the western mission area, I think it was mission 2. I'm just going to redownload it and give strength and regen so we can skip past the missions and catch up to where we were..
