Crawl into the skin of Henry: an adventurer with severe mommy issues. You will not be stopped by drunk pilots, undercooked chicken or houses that hang upside down from the ceiling of a cave. Besides, all of that is an elaborate hallucination. This map was not made under the influence of any narcotics, this map IS the narcotic. Henry is just a floating particle among a sea of possibility, a mere acolyte of the flux. Reality is nothing, insanity is everything. Time, space, fungal infections and towers that look like backmassagers. I promise you all these things and more.
I created this adventure map to experiment with a format for minecraft adventure maps where, in spite of a linear progression, you are not playing from one closed off box into another. The map uses minecraft's naturally generated world (if not adjusted to improve gameplay) and leads you through an expedition with the use of maps, beacons, clues in diaries and hints in the environment. There is a danger that you might get terribly, terribly lost. If that happens, either kill yourself (for real, the map uses auto save points) or take a look at the full walkthrough in the zip file.
All of that being said, this is meant to be an entirely different yet enjoyable experience. Stay sharp, and be the first to find the Lost City of Atapuerca, it's fate shrouded in Mystery. Just don't... you know... go crazy... and stuff.
Strictly a single player map. Run in 1.12.2, graphics: fancy, render distance: 12, clouds: off.
Commenting is highly appreciated! I will work out bugs and work in improvements from your feedback. Thank you very much for playing and rating. Part 2 is also currently being worked on: www.planetminecraft.com/project/atapuerca-the-insane-adventure-part-2/

Update #7 : by PeonofthePen 01/03/2019 3:40:35 amJan 3rd, 2019
Someone was kind enough to submit a bug in the map! I have fixed it instantly and the new upload is once again available. The teleport at the start didn't work if you pressed the button too early, but all of that is not a problem anymore. Enjoy!
