Hello, everyone. If you happen to remember the part in the description of the last project that I posted where I said, "I intend to be somewhat more active going forward than I have been in the past few months," then you'll know that I'm a massive liar. I haven't posted anything on PMC for more than a year, and I haven't posted any terrain in almost two years. My, time flies. With that said, I finally have something for you. I made 80-100 assets for an Australia-based map this past New Year's, then lost motivation to make the actual map. Within the past two weeks or so, I found my motivation and assembled the assets and heightmap that I had prepared into something that I'm proud of. I hope you enjoy what I've made.

This map is a recreation of a rare forest community (you'd call it a biome, of course) which only occurs in a few areas in the mountainous suburbs of Sydney. That community is called the Blue Gum High Forest, after the Sydney blue gum (Eucalyptus saligna) tree which forms one of the primary components of its canopy. This obviously inspired the name of the map. I created the assets that I used for this project based on the very complete species list that I found for this community, so it's a quite accurate representation of the real life appearance of this type of forest. I made an Australian map because I like using Minecraft to depict things which haven't been attempted or explored before, and I was inspired by the appearance of the Blue Gum High Forest. This map requires the 1.12.2 version of the Conquest Reforged mod to function. If you want me to release the assets that I used for this project, shout at me here and on Discord, Twitter, etc. and we'll see. At the moment, I have a decent amount of inspiration and motivation, so there's a chance that I'll put out another map soon. I wonder how severely I'm bending the truth making that statement this time. I'm also planning to consider community feedback for what I make going forward. Shout at me on the platforms I already mentioned so I can see what you want. Do it as publicly as possible--I want people to see what others have suggested and be able to support ideas that they like. I may formally make a survey and link it here. I'll shut up now.
