I have created the Boeing 2707, americas answer to the TU144 and Concorde that never made it into service. In the 1960s and 70s, there was a race to dominate the new market of supersonic travel, concorde being the dominant player in this. Boeing decided to go with the philosophy of "bigger and faster" with the 2707 to try and win this new market. After years in development, it became clear that the new market was not as big as once thought it would be. This resulted in money being cut from the 2707's budget and the projects eventual demise.

The model i've created with other persian world server members uses diagrams and the full scale mock up that was created in the development of the 2707 for inspiration. The plane features 2 classes, first class and standard class, a cockpit, crew area and toilets. We've decided to decorate the plane's exterior with our servers parodys of Pan Am and TWA's livery as these two airlines would have been boeings primary customers had the 2707 ever made it off the drawing board and into the sky.

The plane can be also seen on Persian World Server as this is where it was constructed by myself, firebros and GoldenGecko99.

Details on the servers IP, dynmap and site are bellow:

This is really cool. Great idea to build the fictional SST that everyone in the 50s/60s/70s were talking about

This plane isn't "fictional". The Boeing 2707 managed to get to the point where it even had a mock up built, which still exists in a museum in san carlos. Here's the wikipedia page if you want to read up on it:

Well, it was quite a while since I replied, but I said it as ''fictional'' simply because it never flew. I probably should have reworded it but, eh. It was 9 months ago

I know, i've been focusing more on server stuff recently, i figured this'd be a good thing to post seeing as it falls into both PMC project territory and server work stuff :)

The Boeing SST had wings like the F-14 that could sweep back midflight and be drawn forward. It didn't have fixed delta wings like the concorde

thats another pre final version, this is the one they made a giant model of due to the budget stopping the swept wing design going ahead.

heres the reference material i used for this model:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_2707#mediaviewer/File:Boeing_2707-300_3-view.svg

a
nd heres the model of the actual aircraft in full scale, i believe it's in seattle being restored:

Great Job! But is it still in service? Also, If it was a 1 to 1 scale, I think you should use glass, not holes in the fuelsalage. STill, I admire your work. :)
using stairs for the windows is the most scale way to do windows in 1:1 aircraft.

Yes, but the Boeing 2707 is 14 meters tall, which means it is 14 blocks tall including the undercarriage, If Blibbob had made it one to one, which is obviouse he didn't, so your right it is good for 1:1 but it is not, looks like.

This is as close as your gonna get, it's 1.1 in length and wingspan. The hight is the only thing that may be off due to the landing gear. Keep in mind however, this plane was never actualy put into production so i think i can get away with some artistic licence here.

Question: Is there a baggage compartment? (not the overhead baggage compartments, but the one in the belly of the aircraft.

There is no lower baggage compartment, however there may not be that much room for one either. The cabin needs the majority of the interior of the craft. Imo seats and headroom are a tad more important than the luggage compartment. However i have thrown in the overhead luggage compartments in at least first class, second class didnt have as much room so i've just used slabs which should suffice.

Oh, ok. FYI: I thinks its called bussiness class on long haul flights(seince there are 3), and economy on short haul flights, not 2nd class.

With Sugar, spice and everything nice. Dont forget chemical X.

if your deperate for "it fly" i'd advise either archimedis ship mod OR metaworlds. Metaworlds would be more likely to be capable though but it wouldnt have collisions.
Or use SMedit and convert it into StarMade's format, slap some thrusters and power on it and your good to go :D
