The second addition to my German Builds series.

This is the Brunswick Palace (Or Braunschweiger Schloss) in Brunswick, Lower Saxony. The version you see here was built in 1830 after the version before it was destroyed in a fire, and it served as the home of the Brunswick dukes until the dissolution of the German Empire and implementation of the Weimar Government in 1918.

It has two statues of people on horseback (Dukes Charles William Ferdinand and Frederick Ferdinand, respectively) in front of it and the Quadriga above it's facade.

The building was torn down after sustaining damage from WWII but was later rebuilt and now houses a shopping mall.

You are great at doing famous landmarks and they look pretty exact.

I must say that you have built some impressive buildings! I love the attention to detail with the exterior and interior design on top of the fine little details.

I have a little request. Some of the buildings I've seen in your page are quite impressive and would work perfectly for a WWII map I'm working on since it takes place in Germany. Would you mind if I used your designs?

On another note, might I recommend using my WWII pack? It looked quite great with it in my opinion.

Thanks!

As for the request, i would love to see my submissions worked into a map. Also, after seeing your submissions i think it would turn out great if we could collaborate on a project over the summer or something, perhaps a Berlin-themed survival games or another Stalingrad PvP? Just a suggestion.

With the resource packs... well, i like aspects of both of them. I salute you especially on the main menu, it really shows off the WWII theme. It looks awesome on the Brunswick palace map as well as the build i am currently working on... but at the same time i still really love the feel of Scazzum's pack, so i guess i'll recommend both of them in my builds and let users decide.

A colaborative project would be awesome :D I actually had a request from one of my subscribers to do a map with Berlin so It works out for me. As for the map I'm working on, its a story-based map I hope to release in one or two months.

Until then, Keep building!

I've not played a lot of story-maps, but i'll be sure to check out your new map when you release it. The build i am currently working on is already Berlin-related, it's the Bundesrat (former Prussian parliament).

After i release the building by itself, we can use it as a base for the Berlin map. Message me about what buildings you will be building and when/how we can get started. :D

The back was rounded and had a dome before WWII, I didn't build it because i couldn't find any good pictures of the back from that era. i assume it looked something like the American White House, with pillars arranged in a circular formation, but i didn't want to build based on speculation, so i built the back as it looks now. Next up in this series is the Prussian Parliament, it should be a lot better. :)
