Burj Al Arab

Considered to be the only 7 star hotel on the planet the Burj Al Arab is an astounding piece of engineering and architecture. This is the 3rd and final recreation of Burj Al Arab in Alleron City. Constructed to almost a 1:1 scale (actual scale is 1:09) the detail in this recreation is astounding. From the detail in the main atrium to the detail in the sail fabric to the stunning curvature of the overall design, this is probably the best recreation in Minecraft. Since each block in Minecraft is 1m x 1m x 1m some details had to be left out. In the real Burj each room is 2 floors spanning a 5 meter height, in this recreation each room is 1 floor with a height of 5 blocks = 5 meters. There are 2 types of rooms in Alleron City Burj Al Arab, the standard room which features a king size bed, ensuite and window view seating or the Platinum room which features a king size bed, ensuite, window view seating, ensuite kitchen and dining area.
The sheer size and design of this building is astounding so be sure on your next visit to Alleron City you spend a night at Burj Al Arab.

Thanks For a Great 2015 : 12/27/2015 5:10:51 pmDec 27, 2015

Hi PMC

Hi its Corey, or as most of you know me crnorgren. The Burj Al Arab is my final 2015 project upload. I have a lot planned for 2016 in Alleron City. Alleron went through its last mege expansion this year and now I have all the space I need to turn the city in to the biggest and one of the best Minecraft cities ever! However I have to thank everyone who has supported this project with out all of you Alleron would not be what it is so thank you! We fought copyright issues this year proving the Minecraft community is a force not to mess with and for that I also thank you.

I'll see you in 2016! Keep and eye out for an upcoming youtube channel and some crazy additions to Alleron in the coming year.

Have a Hapy New Year from me to you and most imortantly...KEEP BUILDING!!

-Corey Norgren / crnorgren :)

Thank you :) I usually dont do schematics cause I have had Issues with people basically claiming my project as their own. I find less people steal projects if they have to use and editor to extract them on their own haha
This is AWESOME! Actually,i compared this to the old one and wow, this is better! But Ill keep the old one because my brother loves it.Anyway, great job!

I adore this building. something about it's elagant curve and simple placement on a manmade island creating this beautiful composition makes it one of the prettiest contemporary skyscrapers of the modern era. And you seem to have captured it beautifully here. My only criticism is in its proportion, an issue, i understand, caused by the height limitation in the game itself, something unavoidable in a 1:1 scale project like this. Every detail here is wonderfully addressed. The colors are as perfect as minecraft allows, truly magnificent. I know the troubles this building can cause, as i once attempted to make it, but still haven't been able to finish. Great work.

Thank you! Yeah it is not an easy one to perfect thats for sure. The curves and angles were not easy they took days/hours for me to be happy with the final look haha and I wish I could have had another 70 blocks of height to work with but it wouldn't be minecraft with out obsticals to work around. Thank you :D

Yeah, i definitely understand that. The need for increased height was actually one of the major reasons i discontinued my previous city and started up Murata. And i definitely believe you on how long it took. I remember the last time i tried making it, it took a couple of days, and i was far from satisfied. The amount of work you put in obviously shows

Impressive made. It looks well made. Plus I like the fact it isn't a sleek tall design but more wider.

Congrats on 250 subs!

Thank you! Yeah its actually a pretty wide building and its a little fat looking because it is about 70 blocks/meters shorter than the real thing haha but thats happens when you try to do a real 1:1 scale but you dont have proper height :p and thank you!
