Burnden Park (Bolton Wanderers 1895-1997) (1993 version)

Burnden Park is obviously the former home of Bolton Wanderers, my hometown club. On 9th March it will be the 75th anniversary of the Burnden Park Disaster, in which 33 Bolton fans were crushed during an FA Cup tie against Stoke City on 9th March 1946. As such I felt I wanted to create a build as a personal tribute and memorial to those who died, and also do a tribute to Burnden Park as us Wanderers fans knew it. I found a personal significance for doing this as shortly before I started building it I was told by my uncle that my great-Grandad was there at Burnden on the day of the disaster.

This build is dedicated to the 33 Wanderers fans who died that day.
