This is the ORIGINAL VERSION of Cake Break, part of the Cake Break collection. If you're looking for something to spice up your Cake Break game with, take a look through the
collection!

VERSION 3.1 UPDATE: Players now gain 10 points by killing other players! This adds a layer of dynamics to the game: before, teams that would stay away from trouble usually were the winners because they died the least, now this has changed! You can go murder your enemies to make points, giving you an even greater advantage!
I will be bug-testing (it should be OK, but you never know) and concept-testing this update next weekend. Please give me feedback if you try it! I will publish a real update and possibly add a new video then.



Cake Break is a multiplayer skyblock-like PvP survival game! Join one of four teams and fly into the action by surviving, fighting and cake-baking your way to victory!
"..But why would I bake.. cakes?"
The game has a completely command-block-controlled point system, giving players huge degrees of freedom while automating several rules:

-Eat a slice of cake for 3 points
-Kill another player and steal 10 points
-Your team loses when it has no more points!

ONLY ONE TEAM CAN WIN!

Each team is given a cow and a chicken, along with a chest with bare resources, giving you nothing but what you need for survival and of course, cake-baking.

This is a great game for a four players onwards. The game is perfect for many strategies, whether it's defensive, offensive, or just plain crazy. (Sand and gunpowder available, you know what that means!). A 1-2 hour game is most likely.

I will be uploading some video gameplay and commentary (possibly from multiple perspectives!) within a few weeks.

Rather than going for a logo, I went for an action-packed mine-imator screenshot that better represents the nature of the game. Hopefully, now that the front picture isn't just four blocks, views will finally start rolling in!

I added the collection of Cake Break, diversifying the games. For now, Cake Break Frosting (Snow) and Cake Break Famished (skyblock) have been created and published. 
I will be uploading Cake Break Portals (nether access) and Cake Break Items (random spawning items) soon.

I fixed the individually-calculated-scores-on teams bug, so now team scores are shared between the players, as they are meant to. I also changed some systems, adding a difficulty setup, and changed the layout of the pre-game settings. I also added a separate room for spectators, rather than letting them mess with the options in-game. They still have the option to go into spectator mode.

Cake Break 2.3.2 (Post-testing) : 01/31/2016 8:40:58 am1/31/16

I just played an amazing game with my friends at 4 players, it was a lot of fun. I added little personal anecdotes to the photo descriptions, along with a more photos. I won't be doing anything on this page until next weekend. I really hope this map gets played a lot, it's genuinely such a fun game for me and my friends. I'll probably continue playing it regularly. If you're interested, PM me to play a game with my friends and even friends of your's if you want! I think the more players, the better. 
Other than that, I found no bugs in the game. Just don't put lava on your spawn point and everything works fine!

Fixed other problems including mobs spawning on the second night instead of the third, change the switches at spawn so that they light up individually.

I fixed the blue team spawning inside the red area problem, now I am not aware of any more bugs.

Ok, I fixed all the bugs. I also expanded the spawn so that the problems with spawn are much less likely.

Cake Break 1.4 : 01/30/2016 5:51:04 am1/30/16

Fixed some bugs, added the Third Night Monster Night concept, turning on all mob spawning on the third night of the game. This will allow for mobs and animals to appear with little consequence. Also, other command blocks and spawn point is fixed.

Cake Break 1.3 : 01/30/2016 1:11:21 am1/30/16

Changed the look of the platforms, moving the command blocks up in the sky near spawn! Now the platforms are plain and have a bit of grass and specific colour flowers growing on them. Players are all given beds, and the blaze rod in the chest has been replaced with flint, and the cow and chicken that used to be already spawned are now in the form of eggs in each chest. Better fonts and titles are put in place thanks to a helpful Nanikos!

Added a very simple mechanism that turns mob spawning off during the day and on during the night. This should stop passive mobs from spawning, I'll be working on a more intricate solution.
