Casa de Pilatos or Casa de Esquivel y Javara is a representative huge city residence in Lima, Peru.
It was build around 1590 making it one of the oldest surviving buildings of the Colonial Period in Lima.
It also is one of the largest historic townhouses in the city.
It features two balconies aswell as a representative facade for the main entry door. Originally the wooden balconies were more decorative than they today are, but in the 19th or early 20th century they unfortunately were destroyed and replaced by simpler wooden balconies.
