Hello,

this is a wood forwarder used in logging industry for transporting logs.
It has a storage area and a crane with gripper to pick up logs and place them in the storage area. That makes it different from a skidder which also has a gripper but no storage area. Skidders pull logs over the ground behind them. This has the advantage, that logs of any length can be transported but the disadvantage that the logs have ground contact which is unwanted in some cases.
Forwarders carry the logs nice and safe away from the ground, but are limited in length of logs they can carry.

Yeah, I like the crane, too. Especially the claw. It looks so realistic, but at the same time it's soooo simple. I love when that happens.
